    Seems there is still a lot to be determined in such a short period of time. 18z will be massive. Wonder what the GFS will show.

    We are DEFINITELY in the game. There are numerous members in there that alcan crush.

    Idk I am waayyyyyy more optimistic here. There is no reason this can't clobber us as well. I mean 3 hour earlier close off? Happy EURO did not slide east. Also even though the models are starting to merge on a solution does not mean they all can't correct a tiny bit.

    Yeah being this close we can't turn our backs on this. I remember NEMO the mega band was supposed to be RI and ended up central western CT.

    Don't forget the bands are almost always a little west of model depictions during the storm.

    Yeah this is what Forky was alluding to. This is just a hair from being an absolute beast here. May not happen but you cannot be any closer than we are now. Wow.

    This. Would not take a miracle to have the 12 plus into tri state Yeah can go other way and be less but I am still excited (until Forky says no).

    Bands almost always west of modeled and precip shields in general are usually under done and a 3 hour difference in capture puts us in the goods. FAR from over.

    Correct roughly the same as 0z. A hair less snow but 12 plus still extremely close by in central LI.

    Sooooo close to something much much more. Would not take much to make it happen too.

    So far great analysis on all 12z runs so far except UKMET which so far the analysis is "step back"

    Haven't had many METS weigh in today. Likely waiting for EURO. Would love to hear thier opinions.

    What kind of step back did the ukemt make?

    Ha yeah I am not saying it will happen or we are favored but it's close. Have to keep one eye on it. Also ENE needs this after the brutal winter they had last year.

    All it takes is a quicker phase and we are back. Could very easily happen given how much time we have left.

    Love you posts today! This is so close to something special. Even if GEM and EURO nudge east with the goods, it does not mean a direct hit here is out of the picture. I would imagine it's difficult for the models to get the exact timing of the capture down.

    Also the precip shield is usually west of modeled by a bit during the actual event. Pretty much most of the forum still in the game.

    Yeah just wanted an opportunity to throw out a funny. If that low captures at the right time a UKMET RDPS CMC NAM solution can happen.

    Yeah I agree, the high end potential showed by the last model runs of the CMC RDPS NAM and UKMET are rather low at this point. I would say however that the floor of 0 is also diminishing, so there's that. I let my emotions get the best of me when historic and someone gets 30 were floated by really good/respectable METS and were backed up by some model runs. We know historic storms are not frequent for a reason. Now will sit back and enjoy the ride!
