  1. I'm expecting this line to hit a wall once it hits AGH county as usual.
  2. Yeah this storm is pretty underwhelming. Very little lightning and the wind is pretty tame. Just another day living in this black hole for weather.
  3. This cold weather is really affecting my desire to golf. Yesterday was pretty cold with the wind even though it was in the 50s. One good thing about this cold weather is it should help with the bugs.
  4. A lot of very bright lightning with this line. I even saw a transformer blow in the distance.
  5. With the sun coming out I wonder if that will destabilize the atmosphere somewhat.
  6. Looks like the city avoided the brunt of this first wave. That's fine with me I'm at work and would rather not have to chase wires down and sit there waiting for Duquesne Light.
  7. Gfs is right where we want it 10 days out a hit down in Virginia beach. Although I bet it gets suppressed instead.
  8. Yeah in this case I dont see any way this isn't further NW. Most ensemble members have AGH county as being the cutoff. That wouldnt surprise me.
  9. Yeah my back doesn't appreciate the heavy wet snow. Hopefully we get under some bands later. Yeah it sucks we missed out on a bigger snow but atleast we got something note worthy for a change even if we should get one or two of these a year.
  10. Haha well let's see what the other short range models say. HRRR isn't always accurate.
  11. Thanks MAG always appreciate a professional's oppinion. Hoping for an overachiever
  12. Yeah I feel like its overdone but let's just see what the hi rez models do now because the global's are useless at this range. I would love for those rates to verify. We don't usually get to see those kind of rates so even as progress as this system is it would atleast be interesting.
  13. Yea it does look like most guidance has the heaviest band just too the east of the metro. Hopefully that is wrong and we get the heavy bands. I'd set my expectations low and and hope for a bust. I'm thinking this is more 2 or 3 than 4-6. With those heavy bands anything can happen. It will just be nice to not to able to see the grass for a change.
  14. EURO still looks good but the heaviest band is just too the east. It's close to an overachiever but we may just miss out on the heaviest rates.
  15. And finally before I actually do something productive. The UKmet
  16. RGEM has a pretty stout band of heavy snow that comes close to the metro. This could be an interesting storm. Maybe at the least we get to see some serious rates for a short time.
  17. 6z Rgem also looks good for 2-4 maybe 5 but it looks more like the NAM atleast.
