I don't think many on this board remember/grasp that the second Feb 2010 storm that was such a massive hit for much of the area left southwest of dc out of the main show. I know @mattie gdoes, because he has tried to remind people. They maximized WAA in that one but then it never really turned back on there because it re-developed a bit too late. Up this way, we did slightly less good on WAA, then it turned off, I remember the freakout on Eastern in the 4 AM - 7 AM area and then all hell broke loose. But that storm encapsulated how in MIller B storms there can be huge variances and winners and losers in terms of snow total in the area. This isn't the first Feb 2010 storm in set-up where there will be uniform massive totals as it Heather A rains fatties. So, I get the tension. I have set my hopes for a good five plus inches in the WAA to get to warning criteria. My worry is that the WAA underperforms up here and we miss the re-development. I would kill for half a foot in the WAA and then see how it goes. I have double checked, and I can't control any of that though. Pity.

Thank god for for Millville on the nite shift.

Look, you do you, but that was a marked improvement from its run at 0Z.

That's gotta be a troll account. Chuck. Carbondale. Vice-regent. One of them. Mods need to five post that shit.
-
I am still laughing over that. At least it explains the posts. Good lord.
-
That's hilarious. I thought you had snapped...

Hoff is great, I mean, really great, but that's some really irresponsible shit posting.

Is that person doing a bit?
-
Yeah, hypothetically speaking, it is indeed a puzzle...
-
It's an absolute 50/50 puzzle. I have no idea. It may be both...the name ryan giving me ptsd when I see it pop up

@MN Transplant GFS still handling that trailing piece currently near Japan very differently from Euro, I take it?

Find you someone who loves you like the GFS loves running lows into Ohio.

12z Suite scorecard NOW FINAL...(4.5 for 8 as of 2:15 pm) ICON --- disaster (w/ bargaining over maybe its thermals are their usual trash) GFS ---- primary holds on too long aiming for Ohio which, why? I grew up in Ohio and nothing should aim for there. Miller B hell, some snow front end, but meh if you are big game hunting, okay if you want 4+ inches or so.. GEFS --- not great - in line w/ GFS - area-wide 2" - 5" w/ snow hole concerns floating CMC ---a hit! area-wide 6+ inches with upwards to a foot some places but also genuine concern for our friends on the lowlands SE of 95 for mix or rain at the transfer. GEPS -- juiced up compared with 0Z - supports the OP UKIE ---- a decent hit but all front end - the junk in the trunk is reserved for NE - maybe 4-6 inches plus area wide EURO ---- mid and post coital cigs for most everyone. Massive storm unfolding. Euro holds. 1 to 2 feet or more across much of the forum. Need the low to not tuck as tight to the bay as depicted here to bring the CAPE crew into the full fun and chill out osfan24. EPS --- ensembles are flush hit. East of the more tucked in OP - mean snow from just east of 95 back to Winchester from 8 - 10 inches. Great news for all. Editor's Note - It doesn't make the scorecard - but the NAVGEM was a massive hit with plenty of backside PSU in main thread says, in reality, ICON and CMC much like the Euro in evolution - just with crappier thermals - and that you would lean more to Euro for thermals this far out. If so, it is EURO/CMC/ICON vs. GFS/ UKIE heading into the 0z runs tonight. VERDICT ---- a really great set of runs overall, with GFS having its finger up its nose as it tries to look off of the Euro and CMC tests and catch up. Have to like where we sit with the 0Z runs looming tonight and hoping for a hold from the big boys and the GFS to finish getting a clue.

If anything, just makes me thing the upside here for the I-95 crew and east remains intact from even the good stuff on that run.

It was front end to dry slot. More in line with a better GFS than the others. I have a general model recap in banter thread. -

January Storm Term Threat Discussions (Day 3 - Day 7)

Even while messing the bed it stepped toward the Euro in the previous runs. I will say it continues to step. -
That's the perfect description.
