    He's fine. The mods have heard from him. He checks in from time to time but isn't posting right now. No one ran him off, he's doing his own thing. We all hope he is back at some point.

    @Maestrobjwa you should steer clear of the main during these important runs PBP. Just a suggestion. 11 years on this board and I am not within 100 miles of being good enough to be on the con during these runs.

    You are kind - no worries - as I was typing my question in banter it was being asked and answered I think in the main thread. I try to avoid posting in the main thread per mod requests during these times... So, it appears per you and PSU it is the difference in how the models are handling the thermals on Sunday. Makes sense.

    @MillvilleWx @MN Transplant @WxUSAF What mechanism is causing the GFS to hold the primary longer before transfer than the CMC/EURO are showing? Or, alternatively, why do CMC/EURO jump it to the coast quicker? At this point, that's the crucial difference, right, in progression and outcomes?

    Me. You and I are about the same age then. I had just turned 15 in December. Was in Central Ohio - I think it was sunny there.

    Oh yeah, even for Balt City, that was amaze-balls. It was only in the day of so afterwards that I realized how effed a lot of our comrades in snow got from that.
