  1. That's so very awesome, mappy. Congrats.
  2. Given the dire predictions about a week or more of 50s and an east wind - have been pleasantly surprised to note the temps in the 10-day have remained forecast in the 60s instead. Would be quite pleased with that outcome.
  3. Nice! Heckuva an effort from Valdez in the 8th - 10th to help them pull that out.
  4. Hey there. **** off. Seriously. I love how you equate “real baltimore” with those things. Pure class you are. Go to hell. I’ve lived all over this city and have previously lived in memphis, Cincinnati, and Columbus. I know cities and city living. And I know white flight assholes like you. So, yeah, flee. But spare me your faux right wing anti-city bullshit. It’s so goddamn old. Grow the **** up.
  5. I work in downtown baltimore. I walk to work five miles each way a few times a week from home here in Baltimore City (or will until the humidity arrives). I walk around the Harbor through Fed Hill and back to my office a few times a week during lunch. I don't get attacked, I don't see people shooting heroin, I don't see people smoking pot, and I also don't see people pounding cans of Miller Lite. I do see other people with their kids playing, or biking to work, or generally going about their business. Of late, I HAVE seen gorgeous spring flowers on trees and coming up from the ground - despite the rooting interest of crazy people for killing freezes. But, sure, its really cool for people that don't even live in the damn state to turn on WBAL radio and spew nonsense. So, yeah, "are you high" is a fine summation of my reaction to the constant trying to stoke outrage about what the **** ever from folks. Maybe grab a beer yourself, or find a joint, and chill the **** out. For what it's worth.
  6. Seriously. Just walking around, trying like hell to find things to be angry about.
  7. 62. Looking forward to a glorious four days of weather upcoming. Flowering trees in bloom. Tulips about to open. Ice and freezing zealots in defeat. All good.
  8. Will losetoa6 be posting that?
  9. Sure is. This was what I was referencing a few days ago as being weird/unusual for around here. This combo of warmth and wind. We usually get our windy days on the heels of a cold front. Last time I encountered winds on a dry warm day like this was several years ago driving from LA to Palm Springs on a Santa Ana day.
  10. I come from observing in the southeastern tornado outbreak thread all afternoon that the rush to declare things over or not as bad as expected is even stronger there than it is here when snow is in the forecast.
  11. We're gonna need the 40 mph gusts to get this damn wedge out of here.
  12. RIght on time to ruin the first few weeks of baseball games in the east. Super.
  13. It's constant. It is such a bummer to encounter this crap all the time here now.
  14. It must be exhausting, always looking for something to be outraged about.
  15. Really? Days w/ winds gusting over 40 and highs near 80 w/ no rain chances? Okey dokey.
  16. Yeah, I am delighted with the gradual build to spring and the lack of late season killing freezes. The flowering trees and tulip gardens should be spectacular. Gonna match the general mood as more and more people get vaccinated.
  17. The Friday forecast is kinda unusual around here - at least in my 11 years of living here now. Highs spiking to near 80, no rain chance, but howling winds of 20-30 gusting to over 40? Usually our many high wind days are with cold air filtering in - or if it is a warm day, because of instability and storm chances. To have a day like this with little rain chance is pretty rare from my 11 year sample size of living here
  18. All those blue blobs mean in april is terrible soul-sucking weather with a high of 43 and howling wind. Just, why? Why look for that? It's as certifiable as crazy posters high-fiving 90+ degree highs in October.
