  1. I get that it will need to be looked at, yes. Is this the kind of thing that car insurance would cover, is my question.
  2. So, it was bad. For those that know the city - the Univ. Balt School of Law at corner of Mt. Royal and Charles - just before you get to the train station. Right as I crossed over Mt. Royal I realized the water was a LOT higher there than I had suspected. I've never seen high water there so me and the car next to me drove into what you are told not to drive into. It was up to hood level and I think I may have lost contact with the road briefly. I did re-grip, car engine never cut off, and got through it. But now my check engine light is on as is the traction warning light. Got home, parked it, crawled inside, and am getting an early drink. If, when it dries out, those lights stay on, anyone had experience with this and car insurance? Should I make a claim if it ends up being something got damaged due to the high water?
  3. Good grief - this rain in Baltimore is insane.
  4. Turned off pretty quick downtown. Maybe five minutes.
  5. That little shower that popped in North Baltimore City expanded into downtown - fairly torrential rain just opened up.
  6. Put flowers in the planters on Sunday - thought to myself - won't have to water this week. Update: I'm gonna water tonight.
  7. Thanks! That explains how close so many were able to get to it.
  8. I posted other angles of that tornado from other chasers last page. Its nuts. Crazy how close they all were able to get.
  9. The flux capacitor? Are time traveling now?
  10. Good lord, this came across my timeline - check this out:
  11. My son found a 95 on Hopkins’ campus today.
  12. It's like I am living the movie all over again...Henry Hill logic right there.
  13. With apologies to Goodfellas: Getting run over in the parking lot is just a love tap, really.
  14. So...right after I posted in this thread a few minutes ago... I work on the 20th floor of my building downtown - got back up to my office w/ my salad and sat at my desk to eat and...crawling sensation on my neck. Crawling sensation on my neck. Crawling sensation on my neck. Reach back...buzzzzz. it pops off onto back of my chair. It let me pick it up, perched on backside of my hand - and let me take it back to the elevator, down 20 floors - out to our patio and I put it on a branch. Best of luck, little guy/gal.
  15. I have been doing that too. Least I can do. They waited 17 years for this.
  16. He knows what he did. Next winter, maybe he will be more bullish on snow possibilities for the area. You did what you had to do to deliver the message. Weenie approved.
  17. I've got a first day/orientation joke that I can't post here. Family board and what not.
  18. Walking around downtown Balt to grab lunch, and this song crossed my mind (partial lyrics): Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Beaten, why for Can't take much more (Here we go, here we go, here we go now) One, nothing wrong with me Two, nothing wrong with me Three, nothing wrong with me Four, nothing wrong with me One, something's got to give Two, something's got to give Three, something's got to give now Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Push me again This is the end (Here we go, here we go, here we go now) One, nothing wrong with me Two, nothing wrong with me Three, nothing wrong with me Four, nothing wrong with me One, something's got to give Two, something's got to give Three, something's got to give now Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor
  19. Nothing on radar and a 0% chance of rain, and we have a pretty decent hard rain that popped over my house just now. Enough cloud cover to disrupt the satellite.
  20. It is truly amazing to experience this.
  21. 93 decibels at end of my front walk just now.
  22. Just had a rogue C2G bolt that lit up the neighborhood and shook the house w/ the accompanying thunder. Probably related to that cell in Owings Mills, I suppose.
  23. Loudest day yet here. Decibels in the 80s. They are everywhere. Including on my neck. Have removed four from the house and returned them to their sex trees.
