  1. Don’t worry, even if tomorrow night the snow fails yet again, we unbelievably might have yet another chance later in the week. The Euro, Canadian & GFS each have some snow for us by Friday night. I am hearing Al Michaels famous call of the “Miracle on Ice” in my mind... “Do you believe in Miracles.... Yes !”
  2. Remember, I’m just the messenger... Here is the 18z NAM for the Wednesday snow chance.
  3. Ha ! You are right! Nothing has worked out for snow this year except one Advisory level event during PA Farm Show week in January. I am hoping that we get just a couple hours of snow that maybe coats the grass on Wednesday morning. It would be like losing a baseball game by 20 runs and then scoring 1 pitiful run in the 9th inning just to get on the scoreboard.
  4. Thanks @MAG5035 The snow potential has also appeared on every model over the last few days. It’s not like I was posting some one time fluke 360 hour random storm that disappeared the next run...
  5. The 12z GFS brings some Wednesday am snow to the LSV. It looks like it might be time for a snow chase to the land of @Bubbler86 and @Cashtown_Coop if the GFS verifies.
  6. The 6z GFS & NAM still like the idea of some Wednesday am snow in parts of CTP.
  7. Yes, very interesting few days. Hopefully I will learn a few things from our severe weather crew in here. In the meantime, I’ll be tracking the snowflake potential.
  8. So, the 0z NAM just did NAM stuff. There would still be hours of snow to go at the end of this run... Just for a little Saturday night fun, here it is .... If only....
  9. I would sign up for this right now. Many of the 18z GEFS individual ensemble members support the Wednesday snow chance as well.
  10. The 850 temps & Thickness look to be supportive of snow as well.
  11. The 18z GEFS was enthusiastic about the snow chance for CTP on Wednesday.
  12. The 12z Euro is still trying to get snow into parts of CTP early Wednesday.
  13. The 12z EPS & Control run were on board with the snow idea this week as well.
  14. The 12z Euro & Canadian still like the idea of some snow on Wednesday for us.
  15. The 0z EPS & 6z GEFS are on board with the snow chance next week. April has the chance to be better in the snow department than February or March this year! At the least, it will be a nice distraction to track these possibilities...
  16. The 0z Euro & Canadian gave us a couple of snow chances next week.
  17. The 18z EPS Control run had a great look for the chance at some very late snow for many of us in CTP next Wednesday.
  18. Great post ! I was looking through my KU books for late season snow events. I came across another storm in April of 1983 that hit the Northeast on April 19th. There were several inches of snow in the Northeast quarter of PA into southern NY & New England. Does anyone on here remember that storm?
  19. Congrats! Please post snow pics if you get the chance!
  20. I moved my trash cans in just in time today before the wind would have blasted them several blocks away ! Thanks again for your wind warning! Did all of the trees on Front St. survive ?
  21. The 18z GEFS was a great run for those of us hoping for a very late winter storm next week. This run was decent even using mid-winter standards. A few of the individual ensemble members would be epic. Here is to dreaming a little dream of the .000000000001 % chance of getting measurable snow next week !
  22. The 0z Canadian & GFS both had some CTP snow by the end of next week.
  23. Ok, I will keep going with the snow maps. I agree, they are a nice distraction from the terrible current events. If we can get warning level snow in late October like back in 2011, then we can get a decent snowstorm in mid April. Let’s do this!
