I almost forgot the snow map for your Saturday morning enjoyment. This is way out in dream land, but the period does need to be watched.

For Entertainment and snowy Turkey Day snow dream purposes only…I present the glorious run of the 0z GFS from last night that @MAG5035 referred to above.

Absolutely…the 6z has the storm, but is an inland track. Plus, it’s an off hour run, so the old handbook says we should toss it, lol!

The 0z NAM has Sunday night snow for many of us in CTP.

Just for fun, here is the snow map for the 20th. Congrats DC this run…. Just where we want it at this range!

The 18z GFS is showing a Winter storm chance on the 20th with a low that exits off of the Mid Atlantic coast.

The 12z GFS had the Monday snow chance.

I’m on board with this plan…unless of course we can score some snow before Thanksgiving….then I would be on board with that plan too!

The 6z GFS is showing a light snow chance on Monday for most of us in CTP.

This is what CTP is showing for my area… Sunday Night A chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Monday A chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

The Canadian is the new King, right?

We are now just weeks away, not months. Thats why I’m getting excited…our time is coming soon.

Exactly, the window of opportunity will open. It’s very early, but we should have chances later this month.

The pattern is changing next week. Tracking season is not too far away!

This is way out, but the pattern should be favorable for winter weather opportunities from mid month on. We will need to watch how the pattern evolves and see if a storm threat window emerges.

The 0z Euro showed snow for many parts of CTP on the 15th.

The GFS last night at 0z looked very interesting at the end of the run way out in fantasy land at day 15 and 16. This period could give us our first chance to track a winter storm.

I was in Philly 2 years ago when the Lions beat the Eagles. Fun weekend but it was a miserable game!

I’m focused on the pattern change for mid month. The trough looks to be setting up in the east. Tracking snow season should be underway by mid month.

I love early snow… I love late snow… I love ALL snow whenever I can get it!

The last few days have been below normal in CTP. The next few days should also be below normal. The average high yesterday at Harrisburg MDT is 59 and the average high at Williamsport is 56.
