  1. The storm next Thursday night through Friday continues to trend towards a more Wintry scenario for CTP. Decent front end thump to heavy mix back to snow!
  2. The 6z GFS then has a snow chance for us a few days later to close out the month.
  3. 6z GFS & 0z Euro both have mixed precip for us next Thursday night.
  4. The 18z GEFS has impressive snow amounts very far south through the end of its 16 day run.
  5. The 18z GFS says that we have 2 Winter storms to track before the end of February.
  6. I’m getting fired up for later next week into mid March! Lots of tracking in our near future!
  7. The 6z GFS has a couple of events that bring us snow by the end of February and the first few days of March.
  8. The ensembles today provided a really good look for Winter storm chances in day 10 to 15. Each global ensemble shows a -EPO with a ridge in the west providing a northwest flow delivering cold for the northeast. The southeast ridge gets muted, but would provide some resistance to keep a good moisture feed to our region in this look. If this pattern comes to fruition, we should have some chances.
  9. Brutal game tonight! They have been playing really well, so this came out of nowhere. I think this loss should get their attention before the Bucks game on Thursday.
  10. The EPO is heading negative later next week and we should have a good cold air feed with an active storm track. We should have a couple of threats to track for the last few days of February into early March.
  11. The 12z main global models today each had a very interesting look for the 25th. Cold highs pressing down with a good amount of precip in the south central states.
  12. Yes! It looks like we may be back in the Winter storm business in about 9 days. I don’t mind warm ups that much when I can see the way out.
  13. The end of the 18z GFS is interesting as well. More energy in the south central states with plenty of cold available.
  14. 18z GFS says that we will only need to wait 2 weeks until Winter weather returns.
  15. I ended up with 1.8 of snow in Marysville. The heavy band was nice, but most of the time rates dropped off in between bands. Those that stayed in the good band or got hit with both got the 3 or 4 inch amounts. I enjoyed every minute of it, but I am tired now!

  21. 0z Euro had its best run yet for this event for the LSV for what it’s worth at this point.
  22. Hopefully the Lancaster & York crew cashed in on this heavy band.
