  1. Yes we got lucky up here with a stationary band dumping on the Dec 1-3 storm. I drive through the state quite frequently and this is definitely one of those years where most of the continual snow cover has been up near BDL and points north. I had about 50 to 60% snow cover on Christmas Day and nearly 100% on New Year's Day for the holidays. Other years southwestern areas have done better, especially up in those hills near where you are located. Definitely a nice set up being at 600+ feet but being so close to the ocean.
  2. I'm in the north central valley in Enfield and have 23.6.
  3. The northern half of southern New England into southern portions of central New England have done really well. Like you said, everyone else is just doing okay. Far southern areas that average the least snow have seen the least snow.
  4. Just got out from 3 hours in the movies. Landscape transformed by sleet/snow during that time. Roads are a mess.
  5. Looks like a couple weeks of Pacific puke driving our weather with a congrats Raindancewx. I'd rather have a January thaw first part of the month and rebuild the pattern for peak climo.
  6. He was posting yesterday in the NNE thread so I'm sure everything's fine it's a busy time of year.
  7. I'd say about 10 miles east of the river was where the real fun began but what's 10 miles among friends. I'm 2 miles east of the river and it was a solid above average winter but nothing spectacular.
  8. Well the legend just says 80 + so those highest hills in northwest Connecticut are like 80 to 90 whereas southern Vermont is up into the 100s in areas.
  9. Yes sometimes we tend to become overly biased by recent trends especially if one is younger but over the longer-term we know it is up and in and northwest is best.
  10. Florida Massachusetts PWS at 2k is reporting 11 degrees. Pretty ironic that pretty much the icebox of Massachusetts has the name Florida.
  11. Another 0.1 on the back side , 21.6 season.
  12. Flipped to snow showers and coated it back up. Should be some nice scenery tomorrow morning.
  13. Yeah I am at about 21". I believe the 30" amounts have been up north of the MA Pike towards the route 2 corridor.
  14. Sitting in parking lot traffic for over 1 hour on 91S in North Haven Connecticut as the highway is closed. Moderate ZR falling down here and accreting.
  15. Radar has been weak sauce in the interstate 84-90 near the CT/ MA border corridor and is fractured right out to Scranton. Things will fill in some and we'll get a bit of snow but when the next wave of better lift, forcing etc moves in we'll probably be sleet. .
  16. Latest trends on some mesos suck here for snow, hopefully just noise and we throw down 2-4 or 3-5 type amounts followed by a good dose of pack preserving sleet and ZR.
  17. It's 2-5 NCT, C-2 south best glaze in the southern/SW interior. 3-6 Most of WMA and CMA highest north of the Pike. I don't mess with EMA and RI as much so haven't looked that carefully.
  18. Did 18Z Euro cut back on QPF? Queens need to know.
  19. I knows it's OT but pretty special day for Newtown, CT winning the CT state football championship on the last play of the game on the seven year anniversary of the Sand Hook Shooting. https://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=28298591
