  1. Coldest surfaces starting to accumulate at 34.0. Off to bed, maybe we grab an inch on the grass.
  2. 38.5/27 here with a light SE wind. Should be grassy /colder surfaces if anything accumulates before the rain Nice spring event at peak snow climo.
  3. You're gonna pick up a solid inch. You're already running about 4 degrees cooler than here at 35 and will wetbulb to 32. Atmospheric temps support snow for a few hours. The valley is more concerning for white rain or a mix.
  4. Mitch and Hippy tossed a few crumbs down here to the poor in spirit in the wee hours of the night .2 new, vaporized before the kids woke up 26.95 on the season with nearly 75 percent of it falling in 2 fooking days at the beginning of Dec.
  5. Picked up .2 before the rain and torch. Now up to 37.5 on a brisk SE wind.
  6. He's blown forecasts before himself. Yes high winds are something people should be prepared for but this is an arrogant and unprofessional tweet. Someone could easily rub that sheet right back in his face when he blows one himself.
  7. PWS on WU one street over from me went down to 969.5
  8. Temp rising here up to 38 after some sun and mixing out, lol. A whole lot of meh here all around. Ice yesterday was not enough to be really interesting or noteworthy, than a dryslot and temps rotting at 33 with fog and drizzle for hours and hours, than a warm sector and wind fail as the valley got wedged in as we watch backside snows pivot off to the NW.
  9. Nearby PWS dropped to 28.63 last hour, now at 28.72
  10. GFS looks to continue to go in the wrong direction.
  11. Nice coating here. Desperate times indeed when a coating on Feb 1 gets one perked up.
  12. there's only so many times the deck can be reshuffled before you realize it may be stacked against you.
  13. Bottom line is the system stays in a watch or monitoring mode with eastern areas preferred. If this were tropical season, we would say the cone of uncertainty has shifted east some from yesterday but it's still wide enough at this lead time to cover most of the region, even on the western flank.
  14. You reported a few other minor accumulations during the month generally 1" and under but yeah what a disaster.
  15. 6 may be generous but more than 3" I believe. I was younger and not perfectly detailed with the measurements. Regardless, it was tough to watch. Especially looking straight up and watching it pounding above you for hours.
  16. I got 6 inches of mashed potatoes and slush in the Sixteen Acres section of Springfield at that time living at about 220 feet elevation. Looking up in the sky I could see it dumping 500 feet higher and on the horizon on hilltops just east and west of the valley the whole storm where it was 2-4 feet.
  17. Talk of 92 has me treading carefully here. Trying not to revive the painful memories.
  18. Strong start and finish to this event. Solid advisory event and looks nice and wintry out there again.
  19. Not in a great spot here with heavier returns both south and north. Oh well it looks nice.
