  1. Can someone explain what in the world is this? How did we go from zero in S CT to 4-6 all the way down the shore with 6-8 lollis over my area and even 1-2 in NYC? This is expected snowfall not 1 in 10 chance either? What the what?
  2. i definitely can see the NE/NW hills in the 6-10 range. Warnings may go up for there for like a 4-8 range i think.
  3. Man HRRR keeps coming south pretty significantly every single run. 20Z rolling now and it looks like it's going to be south again.
  4. White mountains? Looks more like NW Alabama to me. GL to all my interior friends in CT tonight. Something like this doesn't happen but every few decades or so.
  5. Looks good for MA, though I think NW and NE hills pull that straight line into “saggy boobs” tomorrow night and get into the 3-6 range. Especially for NW CT, there’s some elevations near 2K up there. I’m totally missing out on this one and so are most in CT river valley. Well hopefully I’ll get to do one more map for this anomalous event before the season is over. I still have one event I missed that I have to catch up on, I think it was around March 23ish.
  6. I can't recall or site any plowable snow past 4/15 down here, ever. The big late one i remember and im sure most of you know is 5/9-10/1977, where the litchfield hills picked up over 20" of snow. Other than that i don't know of any really late ones down here in CT. Not to say it can't happen of course. Just speaking historically. Now if theres any pattern or storm this late in the season, it's this one. I think the NW and NE hills have a pretty reasonable shot at accumlating/plowable snow. Everyone else in the valley or southern CT is most likely going to miss this one. I didn't dig too deep into it but those are just my thoughts glancy at a few models and panels. 3-6" near and above 1K in NW/NE is certainly possible. I would be keeping a close eye on it if you're in those areas. Some posters from NW hills and Kevin of course.
  7. I did say “for the most part” which is objectively true. i also didn’t “meh” the whole state. I clearly didn’t mean to minimize your winds/damage
  8. Wind is done here in CT for the most part. Pretty lame and forgettable event, not to say thats a bad thing. We don't need power outages and tons of damage with everything else going on. But for the most part in CT it was just your run of the mill advisory event with 40s and 50s gusts max with the exception of BDR at 61 mph.
  9. CT highest gusts so far (hopefully no mistakes): BDR 53KT (61mph) HVN 46KT (53mph) SNC 44KT (51mph) GON 49KT (56mph) DXR 44KT (51mph) OXC 46KT (53mph) MMK 43KT (49mph) IJD 43KT (49mph) HFD 40KT (46mph) BDL 44KT (51mph) Everyone hit advisory criteria, one station, BDR, broke into warning criteria...so far...
  10. Yeah, i don't think ive ever seen that much of an area covered under a wind advisory or warning in my life.
  11. So jelly. Beautiful radar. Ugh, not one solid snow storm this entire winter. Well i guess ill appreciate it more the next time we get a warning event here.
  12. What in the world is that, who has stats for Salisbury ct like that?
  13. 3.1 at BDL, damn they did pretty good for low elevlation. Advisories were warranted i think, although most roads were probably just wet unless you got about 500ft or so
  14. how much did you get? whats your elev?
  15. Guess this will probably be the last map ill make, at least something to do during this shitty downtime. Send me all and any CT reports, regardless of the amount. TIA.
  16. Nice. I had got to a point where the grass just started turning white then it poured rain for the rest of the day. Nothing stuck to any paved surface whatsoever, no even those paved car tops.
  17. Lots of 3-5" reports in the hills of NW and NE CT. Even Northern New Haven Cty managed a few 2-3" spots. But now its pouring rain so.
  18. Just saw this now. I turned over to sleet then rain around 2pm. No accumulation, just a trace. Looks like it did end up being a bit colder than fx, saw all of N CT got an advisory which is what i expected, 2-4 in that area. But the mix/rain line has made steady progress all the way through CT now. All airports reporting rain.
