  1. Oh, damn i was just going to make a thread as well. WxWatcher...that grade is pretty harsh. I mean this winter sucked but there have been plenty that have been way worse including 01-02, 06-07, 11-12, 19-20. If this is an F, those are like G or H lol. Seems like kind of an emotional response. I'm super frustrated too, but in the end it's all subjective.
  2. Miracles can still happen. We did have a nice inland/elevated snow storm this time last season. The NE hills to ORH jackpotted. 4/16/21
  3. 4 Years Ago Today... This was probably the biggest snow storm in far southern CT and for the BDR area since 1997. Overperformed a bit and most fell at night/early morning.
  4. We may very well be past our last snow in CT for the season so if any of yall got any updates, especially after that surprise snow squall event please update em and ill do a snowfall total map for the season.
  5. We got a bit of light rain here. KHVN reported 0.12 total LOL
  6. Snowfall totals from the March 27-28th snow squall event that effected W CT. Thanks for all the reports!
  7. Thanks thats very helpful, i have a very very limited set of reports for this one. And it seems no one from Cocorahs really reporting much of anything which is surprising considering there a lot of towns in there that got hit pretty good.
  8. I'm just going off of reports ive seen so far today. 3" was the highest report today that ive seen. And 2" the highest from yesterday evenings squalls in W CT in Litchfield, Fairfield and New Haven counties. So, i was just basing it on any overlap and including both events from yesterday and today. I'll figure it out tomorrow morning when the next day of cocorahs reporting comes out. March 27th reports were 0.5" New Milford/Oxford/Shelton 1.0 Newtown 2.0" Warren March 28th 1.7" Seymour 2.5" Bethany 3.0" Southbury
  9. I thought i was done with STD snowfall map but we had 1-4" in several towns over the past two days. If you have an STD snowfall update please let me know or update New England Snow and ill do a new map for the season to date snowfall in CT. @BrianW@Mr. Windcredible! @FXWX do you have a season to date number for your town? If theres anyone lurking from Litchfield, Middlesex or New London county those are the most sparse areas so lmk if you have anything there. Thank you!
  10. BDR 32R (35 1966) ISP 33R (35 1966) LGA 32R (36 1996) JFK 34R (37 1959) EWR 35R (35 1977) NYC 33R (34 1893)
  11. Looks like a lot of the stations in the OKX FWA will also break low maxes. Probably every single one from what im seeing. If anyone has any snowfall totals from CT for both yesterday and todays snow squall event please send them to me as ill be doing a map for this. Theres some towns that may be pushing 5" when combining yesterday and todays totals.
  12. Dense snow and snow grains, whitening up coming down steady now. 36F
  13. Nice burst of hail/graupel a few minutes ago along with thunder
  14. How were those in CT? Did southern CT and near the shore get screwed in the April Fools Blizzard 97?
  15. Sometimes right down to the coast, but it's pretty rare. About the best we can hope for this time of year is something like April 2018 to happen. We were on the verge of actually having another one after this but it fizzled out as we got closer. Wild season post March 1st.
  16. I thought i was in the wrong thread for a minute with everyone talking about past events, so ill add something to that. I forgot about the fact that the Mar 2019 NE hills event was exactly on 23rd. As it snowed there one year later on the 23rd. Come to think of it. CT has seen a snow event in 5 of the last 7 years on or around the Mar 21-23rd time frame March 21st 2015 - 2-7", southern CT focused March 21st 2016 - 2-7", stripe of 4-7 across central and NE CT March 2017 - none March 21st 2018 - 0-8", 6-8 across far SW CT and 2-6" across southern half of CT, big bust March 23rd 2019 - 0-6", Up to around 6" in the NE hills, most of the state nearly nothing March 23rd 2020 - 0-6", 2-6" most of northern half of CT, southern CT 0-2" March 2021 - none It's like December 5th of the early 2000s. It would also seem to snow around that date for a few years around here back then.
