  1. Yes, and I blame them for the testing fiasco. They’ve had 15 months to validate and standardize the Covid test. They haven’t done shyte. The CDC needs to be taken out of the political purview. They gave some good scientists down there but the leadership for years has been abysmal. The FDA has a political appointee to lead it, but for some reason they seem to be less so than the CDC. Part of it is the FDA has outside scientists that review applications. If anything the FDA is a little too conservative. But they generally have to be for safety sake.
  2. I need to get to Vermont more.
  3. How far back does the door get Thursday? Looks like ‘rhea.
  4. Lol lots of CDC guidelines are a little whack a doodle. I can’t get into it here by no means, no how. Not in a million years no. But, as an MD I can say without a doubt that the CDC guidelines for risk factors associated with certain activities for a certain virus are waayyyy overblown.
  5. Yea, I don’t get it. I can’t stand to step on a pebble. Sends me through the roof. Hot pool deck too. Awful. My wife can walk barefoot on hot asphalt and doesn’t phase her.
  6. I have several. LTC. No restrictions.
  7. My friend doesn’t care. She’ll go barefoot anywhere.
  8. It’s the booster that does it, not the first one. The second shot is technically a booster.
  9. True. I unblocked you. I was pissed at you the other night and I had one too many scotches. I’m guessing you’re an engineer?
  10. Just for informational purposes. The analogy to mask wearing to be equated with going into a store barefoot isn’t a good one. Masks are mandated by the state and feds. So stores really have no choice, even if they don’t enforce it. However, there’s no law nor ordinance nor mandate in any state nor fed that says you can’t go in barefoot. The business may say you can’t, but there’s no law. I have a friend who is an ardent barefooter and they have this whole society and culture that research this stuff. They have whole forums that are devoted to where they can get away with going barefoot. They take it as serious as James takes a 360 hr GFS run that shows a cape blizzard. (just kidding James)
  11. We rented a house on the beach in Wilmington for the last week of June. But we snagged it back in December.
  12. I quit going to a local hardware store because they were militant.
  13. THIS ^ I do it some because I know the business doesnt enforce it, doesnt want to, its posted because the state says to, and a lot of people dont want to wear one either. The more people see others not do it, they'll do it too. That's the only way it'll get finished faster. I have to say ive never been chastised by a single business. Had one customer hollar at me in home depot. I just walked on by.
  14. Come to boston, cambridge and brookline
  15. When I was in college as a freshman, there was a guy down the hall that used to shower with his chemistry lab goggles on.
  16. Ain't that the truth. I wasn't an A-hole, per se. And I spent most of my time in the math, biology, and chemistry wing in HS, and I never had the makings of a varsity athlete (ode to Uncle Joon there, some will get the reference). For some reason, I never had a problem in college. Funny thing. The hot girls in high school who were the biggest B%*tchs and the worst of the worst, spout a ton of churchy, Christian stuff on facebook now that they are 50 plus Yo. Certainly weren't christ like then.
  17. With safety glasses. Out of an abundance of caution, of course.
