  1. Same here! Low of 18 here, looks like high is going to be 25-26. A bit warmer at the airport - high of 28 with a low of 23 (so far). I think we'll both set the low for today later tonight.
  2. In all honesty there a TON of beautiful neighborhoods all across DC that are spectacular in the snow. Many neighborhoods have pretty extensive tree canopies.
  3. i'd recommend Georgetown but well, you know...
  4. i was shoveling while it passed - not too much damage. i'll probably put down some ice melt. Man the Tenleytown Ace hardware store has been a life saver - I freaking love that place.
  5. yeah i feel like the upper half of that one will go over the heart of the District.
  6. lol maybe one of the passengers was like "oh wait I forgot something!!"
  7. uh there's a plane on the Loudoun County Pkwy
  8. mod to borderline heavy snow up here - i would guess around 4" but tough to tell.
  9. it's more fun to share with others, no doubt.
  10. totally agree - but if Metrobus routes are significantly impacted, then you have problems.
  11. yeah no buses, most kids walk/take public transit. Although a good number of kids are driven to school.
  12. a lot of the side streets were bad - and of course they don't seem treated again tonight.
  13. first time we have a kid in DCPS (PK-4) - so now we pay attention lol
  14. lol DCPS is the only district in the entire metro that hasn't called it - fuckin Mayor Bowser
  15. 34/17 here rn so it might be a while lol
  16. that whole area is having a nice stretch
  17. yeah last night was the type of night that maximizes the difference between the urban areas and elsewhere. Very little wind, which means for us, we get the initial drop in temps after sunset of a few degrees and that's it (no radiational cooling). Meanwhile, once you get away from the city a bit, you get more of that radiational cooling and temps still plummet. The night before we still had the fresh northerly wind bringing in the goods so everyone got cold af.
