  2. Wow bro ! Our locations are usually fairly close to one another, but you’re doing much better tonight. I’m at 0.7” and still just light snow.
  3. Great spot to watch thunderstorms approaching also. I spent many late summer afternoons at Ft Reno Park looking westward.
  4. I did great last weekend with almost 5”. Has made it easier to stay patient today. Still hoping we can both snag a few inches later this evening.
  5. It’s been snowing off and on since 9:00 a.m. here. I’ve got about 0.1” on the snow board. Hoping things can come together later, as forecasted.
  6. First snow shower of the event here. Has whitened the paved surfaces pretty quickly.
  7. They obviously aren’t buying the huge snow hole over the MD and WV panhandles that’s been all on the models for days. Now if they could just fix my WWA which only mentions accumulations for Garrett Co.
  8. Just started snowing. Big flakes. No wind yet.
  9. My yard went from 0.00” to 0.25”. Nice to see that Shenandoah Valley snow hole go away.
  10. 1.50” rain total but still no wind. Easterly at 3 mph. Up to 47°.
  11. No snow for me this morning at 500’ elevation. Started as rain at 31°.
  12. Not a whiff of a breeze here. Winds were variable at 7 mph, but have now gone calm. Gonna need something to break the wedge.
  13. Closing in on an inch of rain in the bucket. Snow cover has taken a beating but is still hanging tough.
  14. I’ve mentioned this before here, but my memory of having driver’s ed in high school in western MD was when we took the car out with heavy snow falling. As I was driving up I-68 climbing Martin’s Mt, the instructor told me to stay in the ruts created in the snow on the road by tractor trailers ahead of me. There was no thought of not sending us out into a snowstorm. Times surely have changed lol.
  15. Cumberland reporting heavy snow. Webcams look great there. Been a good week for my hometown with 7” on Saturday and now this storm.
  16. Forecast low for tonight is 29. Currently 26 with some cirrus moving in.
  17. Calm winds, clear skies and a rising baro at 30.43”. 31° and falling fast. Still have about 2.5” of snow depth. If the precip gets in by sunrise, might get slick for a time here in the a.m.
  18. Storm is ending as some light freezing rain. 4.8” total snowfall.
