Panhandle snowstorms are wild.

12z models were a bad run for anyone north of Virginia, esp the Euro. Yikes.. Gonna be wild to see Roanoke get 14” snow in December and us get cirrus lol.

Days to go but with the steadysouh consensus it’s not looking good.

0z GFS gets 1” to the PAborder but it’s still well south. Not sure we’ll get this storm, seems like suppression wants to suddenly reign

Fv3 is the updated GFS correct, and they'll retire the "old" GFS after a few months? Or am I incorrect? 

If we do end up getting decent snow Sunday-Monday the MA forum will need serious triage, especially those south of Maryland. 

The 12z GFS doesn't even get precip above the North Carolina/Virginia border it appears. Talk about a swing and a miss - it's more like a "let's play volleyball on a baseball field."

Recent history and the calendar push hard against a suppressed system. I guess it can happen but it’d be against the norm and highly unusual.

Yeah and I fear we get into a dry cycle by the time temps drop below average. We lucked out with our big early storm and might be sitting on the sidelines in the LSV for a while.

Harrisburg, State College and Williamsport are now all in the 2nd wettest year on record. State College will become number 1 this week probably. HBG and Williamsport probably don’t make it to 1 but damn it’s been wet.

I didn’t expect this heavy and prolonged rain. I’m over 1.5” today I think.

If you’re on interstates I think you’ll be ok. .1” ice on a heavily trafficked road usually doesn’t cause issues imo.

14 in NYC - that was a nippy walk to Penn Station to catch the 9:30 am train back to HBG.

2 days ago it was gonna be 48 on Thanksgiving. We might struggle to reach 30.

We had to run to Lancaster and the difference between it and Harrisburg is night and day.
