    I'm getting close to punting this winter, Driving by Lake Auburn today, I could have been out fishing in my boat, This is absurd for Jan 8th, Last time ice free at this time of year was 2006.

    By now, I have bait dealers hitting me up up for bags that go into 5 gal pails and coolers and i've only had a couple come in so far so i know ice fishing is off to a very slow start.

    A little bit of IVT snow this morning from the ocean low out to the east has put down a coating so far and has made travel quite slick.
