  1. I had mentioned back a week or so that when the cold got here, That suppression of the storm track could happen.
  2. Not saying you did, You just happen to fit my post with your analysis of the upcoming next few weeks, We start getting out into mid month territory without snow or colder air up here, And i'm talking NNE, We will be getting out to the point of no return as far as winter recreation goes outside of skiing, March sun angle beats up the high terrain for snow retention, In some instances, In a way right now, There's so much damage repair that's going on from the monster cutter two weeks ago that it has taken the focus off the lack of snow temporarily here, But we will need to turn this around fairly soon as the clock is ticking everyday we have no cold in place and snow on the models.
  3. No complaints here looking at the EPS.
  4. I blame lavarock, He switched brands..........
  5. We may have to offer him up to Ullr for a sacrifice, Hope he's worthy.
  6. That's what we need some cold air, We're starting from scratch as i mentioned a day or two ago, We need to refreeze all the tributary's again.
  7. The highest percentage of my winter grade is retention.
  8. Even upslope snow is absent, That's when you really know its bad.
  9. There were some calls by some of a super Nino 2.0+ that i recall.
  10. Go to confession and see him and tell him you sinned.
  11. I saw no issues going forward, Opportunity's are there.
  12. Looked like some improvements on the 06z model runs over yesterdays model suite, We will see what 12z brings today.
  13. A few runs we were getting a partial phase so precip was enhanced with the SLP near LI pulling the colder air down to the coast and potential was there for some of the modeled higher precip totals, Some of today's runs ran that s/w out ahead of the one in the ohio valley leaving a torched BL and lighter precip, 12z Euro was a bit better but still out ahead so it was late, Still need to watch it.
  14. Last year, Dec had 9.0" here, This year, 5.3", I wouldn't grade it any higher then last year and don't see anything that will change that.
  15. Been consistent for a few cycles, Hopefully correct the 1st 10 days of Jan.
  16. The Xspire model has already expired.
  17. Where was camp? Yeah, I may make that trek a time or two, When i was younger, NBD, But as i am older i only have to travel 1-1.5 hrs for good snow and now go during the week with less people out on the trails and fresh tracks with free stay where i ride.
  18. I would probably think differently if i had a long travel to get to decent riding but that's me, Its not the case though, I'm usually not that far away to travel to snow.
  19. Maybe once i'm off the antibiotics i'll have one.
  20. Correct, I don't care if it snows in my BY i don't ride here anymore due to a 1-2 week window the last several years, The pack is needed for riding to cover up obstacles in the trails like rocks and roots, etc,etc A couple of 7-9:1 mash potato storms in the 3-6"/4-8"+ range with some cold and off we go.
  21. In snowmobiling obviously, There's no snow making, Northern Maine was off to a good start with Lakes, Ponds and bogs frozen and a decent hard pack base, Some were already riding logging roads, After the last storm last week, All of it is wiped out, The amount of damage to bridges and downed trees is severe, Were back to October ground conditions as far as frozen is concerned. So even if everything that's projected coming up comes thru, It will be Feb the earliest to be able to get out there, And that's provided there's no delay with any of it, The clocks ticking each day, With no cold around right now, We cant even begin the process, And its not just snowmobiling, Its smelt fishing, Ice fishing and all other winter recreation plus the states winter tourism is non exsistant because you can't even get to a ski area either.
  22. It seems like every time things start to look good it gets pushed back, There is a point of no return though, Up here, It could be sooner rather then later, We're starting from scratch all over again.
