  1. Sounds fun! I know a great brewery nearby haha
  2. Nice! We love Hanover. We go up there for dinner a lot. Mr Map and Mini-Map go to Cordorus all the time to hike. We did their trick or treating thing in the woods too. Love the area.
  3. when it comes to snow, absolutely. lol
  4. Yeah, it's been a few years since it's been a 'good' winter up here and that's just how it is sometimes. This will be my 11th winter in Parkton, and only 4 of them have been >30" winters. And 30" is the average up here. What I do love about the area is we do really well in marginal events and snow sticks around because we are always just a little bit colder. I take the pluses where I can find them. But snow is just a thing people care a lot about. I'm a weenie like everyone else, but I have learned not to let lack of snow, while others are getting some, ruin it all for me. I used to be that way, I used to get annoyed by it. But aging and some horrible life events have given me a different outlook and I try very hard to see a positive for others even if it means that I'm not getting the same.
  5. honestly, I'd laugh very hard if by Sunday night the storm missed most of the forum and we spent all this time tracking something we don't actually get.
  6. it's only an issue because it's snow and who gets what. snow is very much an in my backyard thing and people take that quite seriously. those south do not care about us up north seeing more snow while they mix or rain. thats where the negativity comes from. because people do not complain about TSSN posting when it's summer and we are tracking storms. just snow.
  7. Latest LWX snowfall map. Snow for today is included in this. It only goes out to 7am Monday.
  8. not enough coffee yet to appreciate the discussion. Also, I don't see the big deal in TSSN posting with us. Hanover is 5 miles north of the MD line. It's not that far off and 'out of our area'. I mean, I'm only 3 miles from the PA line, and I know if I posted in the Central PA forum, they'd welcome me. lol
  9. Thanks @WxUSAF for cleaning up the thread.
  10. Gfs looks good up here!
  11. Moving posts is annoying lol much easier to hide posts and hope people figure it out Yassss. Don’t let the southerners hate on you too much lol
  12. Ugh what happened? I was gone for 2 hours lol
  13. Nice! That blue stripe in northern Balt Co is me
  14. I saw there was precip out west, maybe it will snow here too soon
  15. right at 2-2.5 for me along the PA line. I'll take it!
  16. by a second. yours posted as I was posting mine hahaha

  18. I hear you. It's a hard call to make
  19. Its pretty nice! And because I am on kid duty in the morning, I am usually up and online before 7am, so my days are usually done by 3ish.
  20. Yeah I'm not one of them either. I go in to have lunches or happy hours with folks. Could have gone in today as I have an appointment south of my office at 4, but didn't want to be there the first day after the holidays so will just drive down hahaha
  21. He left me a year ago haha. Works for the state now. But I helped him get there and miss his work ethic very much haha.
  22. there are benefits to it: get to wear my pjs, save money on gas/lunch, flexible hours that fit my life. I do miss seeing people but not enough to want to be in person all the time.
  23. They'd have to make the call pretty early in the day to get out 2 or 3hrs early.
