  1. Ewr will be +5 by mid month with mostly above after that
  2. He wants to make sure we all know its going to be a warm and snowless month
  3. I recorded 9 1" or greater events that winter. 2013-14 and 14-15 I had 13 such events a piece
  4. Also the snow broke out when the storm was still off the coast of savannah because it was so massive
  5. It was a huge deal at the time. It started getting hyped 5 days in advance. Something unheard of then. 10-12" was something we hadn't seen in 6+ years. I worked at a supermarket at the time and it was an absolute madhouse the night before. If it didn't take a track right over us we would have had double the snowfall but it was still a huge deal. Didn't go back to school until the following Wednesday due to the flash freeze
  6. Apparently he's smoking some of what this guy smoked
  7. Most people would take average in a heartbeat. The fear is single digit snowfall again
  8. Would you rather us be all positive and sugar coat it?
  9. 48 is average at ewr. Already at 52 Tomorrow looks average then 2 days below before back above and torchy this weekend
  10. Yeah as I said if parts of the Mid-Atlantic coast can get 3 feet of snow just 2 winters ago we certainly still have the potential for a big winter
  11. Sure for a few days but we'll still be above normal for the month. At least +2
  12. Yeah it depends if we're just talking about central park or not. Certainly north and west has done well in Decembers that were shutouts near the coast
  13. Well yeah getting nothing in December is pretty rare. That was our only measurable snow until the March storm
  14. Well it snowed in 98 and we were below average that winter. It barely snowed in 92 but we ended up average and of course 89-90 had early snow but well below average It probably does work out more times than not that no snow in December is bad news for a good winter. 94, 96, 97 and 99 were examples
