  7. I always thought 105 meant heat advisory. And we never get excessive heat warnings so they must've changed the criteria URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Upton NY Eastern Passaic-Hudson-Western Bergen-Eastern Bergen- Western Essex-Eastern Essex-Western Union-Eastern Union- 204 PM EDT Wed Jul 26 2023 ...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THURSDAY TO 9 PM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 expected. * WHERE...Eastern Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex, and Union counties in northeast New Jersey. * WHEN...From Thursday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

  14. Nothing from Upton yet
  15. Yeah the warning should be extended further east momentarily Edit extended for parts of Middlesex Morris and all of somerset
  16. If it doesn't weaken of course
  17. Mt holly says that storm is moving due east rather than ne so it would hit us
  18. Northern third of NJ going to get slammed first and hopefully everyone later
  19. Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1129 AM CDT Tue Jul 25 2023 Valid 251630Z - 261200Z ...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE NORTHEAST STATES...AND OVER PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN PLAINS... ...Mid Atlantic into southern New England... A remnant MCV is currently over eastern PA. This feature is embedded within a larger-scale shortwave trough and associated 40 knot mid-level jet moving into the northeast states. Forcing ahead of these features is leading to scattered thunderstorm development. Strong heating across the region, coupled with dewpoints in the 70s will lead to moderate CAPE values over 2000 J/kg. Sufficient winds aloft and steep low-level lapse rates will promote locally damaging wind gusts in the stronger cells through early evening. Storms will eventually build southward into eastern VA/MD as well.
  20. Sounds a bit high. Most places are 81 to 84
  21. Day 3 slight risk is surprising
  22. Low 80s with dews in the 50s would be amazing especially after near triple digits Friday
  23. Supposed to be 98 with a dewpoint of around 76. When I was out this morning it wasn't terrible yet Edit looks like they dropped the high temp to 96
