What’s the warm nose status? Lol. I keep waiting on this to change to rain. 

It pouring snow I hope warm nose was over modeled. My temp has began falling also down now to 35 from in 15 minutes.

Radar just flipped from rain to snow for more southern areas.

Went from flurries to quarters in about 10 minutes. Ground is already turning white. 

Quarters here too!! Trying to lay on elevated objects. Gonna get a picture, blown away by this just getting heavier and heavier and I'm in the valley.

I can't wait for heavier precip, have a good light snow have a decent light snow occurring and nothing really mixing in maybe an occasional graupel but snowing at a decent clip about 95% flakage 5% graupel.

Not a moderate snow, but a sort of moderate light snow. Actually surprised, I was ready for complete bust with all the warm nose talk.

Ten Mile on the Roane/Meigs line snow sleet mixture no liquid. Temp stopped climbing at 37 degrees here, hoping that the micro CAD that sometimes forms in Northern Rhea, Roane and Northern Meigs against the eastern escarpment of the plateau helps today, and warm nose hopefully over modeled.

Moisture sure is taking its time reaching the ground.  Rockwood has a ping for snow. closest to the valley I can find,  Might be in the valley for all I can tell.

Can confirm this is accurate. No mixing with liquid.

Just finished my appt and it's beginning to snow in Roane County in Kingston. Graupel pellets and flakes, no rain drops.

Glad to have you back on this go-round.  You are in a great place to keep us in the valley abreast of what is coming up the Valley.

I'll do my best, though I have an quick appointment 10am in Rockwood so it might start while im away, though if it starts while in Rockwood I'll let you know.

Have a feeling I'm going to be right on that rain/snow transition line in my neck of the woods in the Eastern Valley, though not a terrible start considering it's currently 31 degrees, DP 28 and I am now socked in with clouds and returns aren't that far away

I’m around 34-35 but my DP says 27-28° at several different locations around my house. Just now getting some returns over Knoxville

I can hear more sleet hitting the windows here. Temp is down to 37, but I’m almost saturated. 

Dynamics under heavy returns might help drag temps lower for you.

I'm just wondering how long I'm going to have virga. Seems to have gotten to the ground quickly down Shawn's way if he already had some sleet. 

I didn't have virga very long maybe about 45 minutes, but it's still being eaten by dry air it's very very light sleet like pellets here and there.

The cloud cover seemed to time itself perfectly to maximize the amount of solar heat that could be absorbed here. It’s now fully cloudy and 41. Ready for my 33 degree rain. 

Are you dropping though since it began to get dark? My temp topped out at 41, it's mostly cloudy here and my temp is still falling down to 37 now with DP 24.7.
