  1. I wonder where that cold air In the upper Midwest is headed?
  2. Don't wait. Get your firewood now!
  3. 76/55 not sure it can get any nicer. Maybe a degree or two warmer than I'd like for working but I'll sacrifice for the greater good.
  4. This is a pretty cool article. The pictures are great You can zoom in here https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2024/08/19/colorado-photographer-captures-bobcats-adorably-playing-with-golf-balls-during-charity-tournament/
  5. But since I have a handful of matches and 200 cords of wood why the hell not ?
  6. You can't have everything you would like. Although on that I tend to agree with you. Don't want to be at the beach when it's 70.
  7. Good take. You would know better than I since it's your business. Hardly a study but I did poke around a little. Lots of airbnbs available at what looks like discounted rates. Although I don't use it so I don't have much of a baseline. What I do know something about is green fees. Both Green mountain national and Woodstock are wide open for the weekend. That I think it's a matter of price. I love Green mountain national but not at $150. 170$ for Woodstock is just stupid.
  8. I'm just a kind-hearted soul. Anything I can do to support my Americanwx brethren.
  9. A toll on tourism The summer washout took a toll on Vermont’s $3 billion tourism industry. In a typical year, 13 million people flock to the small state of 647,000 people to enjoy hiking, biking, leaf peeping and skiing. This year, summer tourism was down 10 to 15 percent" This is from last year. Do you think this year was better?
  10. How much is tourism down up there? The weather has been god awful. A couple summers like this one can do some serious damage. "Vermont? Are you kidding? It's always raining "
  11. Likely a bobcat. I'm not sure they've ever spotted lynx in Massachusetts.
  12. Light yourself a nice little fire. You'll feel better.
  13. No it can be way warmer. Mid '80s even as long as the dewpoints are reasonable.
  14. Doesn't get much better than today. This is like the fourth day in a row. You tried to tell em...
  15. It's uncanny. Nailed it again. " feeling more humid by Sunday and especially Monday as moisture increases into the region. This moisture arrives ahead of mid level trough sinking south from Canada late Sunday and Monday which will provide enough lift for widespread showers and even some thunderstorms. Timing uncertain but ensembles indicate a better chance for rain on Monday (90+%) than Sunday (20-50%).Periodically unsettled weather remains possible through mid week as this trough then lingers overhead through mid week.
  16. No joke. It was exactly office space.
  17. Never worked for them. Banks and insurance companies mostly. Liked it for quite a few years but then i began to hate it. Constantly on call. Something blows up at 3:00 am? you got to fix it . God forbid it was some of your code that brought it down. Never was but I always had that fear in the back of my mind. Give me the outdoors and hard labor. Doesn't pay as well of course but probably lengthened my life.
  18. The climate prediction center begs to differ. Hopefully this will be your yearly blind squirrel moment and you'll be right.
  19. Pretty clouds for a bit this evening. Now dissipated.
  20. It's deceptive from the drone. I will post different pics later and you'll see the difference.
