  1. You've tried your best. Some folks just won't listen! They would sooner cling to the hope of an imaginary torch than face reality.
  2. While we're on the subject of chickens. My niece's favorite time of year. The fall brood. Probably too cold in New Hampshire for that.
  3. Sun's out now. Just rocketed up to 70°.
  4. That sucks ! Best of luck with your recovery.
  5. This may explain your poor forecasting skills as of late.
  6. Last four days below normal as we thought. Didn't we try to tell them?
  7. It would be welcomed after this meh of an August. How many times have you hit 90?
  8. The lady doth protest too much, methinks
  9. August has been a tough month for the AHATT crowd. Struggling. Has it even hit 90?
  10. So now the torch is in September? Might be nice since August has been so normal.
  11. Want another? How about the national weather service.
  12. You had no idea? You really should follow the national weather service. " Still expecting scattered showers and thunderstorms today as a cold pool aloft nudges closer to southern New England. Decent instability in most model outputs with most unstable CAPE values between 1,000-1,500 J/kg. Shear values of 20-30 kt and fairly straight hodographs suggest more of wind threat. Wet-bulb freezing level is projected to be less than 10 kft, which also suggests that some hail "
  13. Yeah they look pretty decent. So weird seeing them coming from the northwest.
  14. Looks awesome. But beware, the torch is coming! Or so some say. But they've been saying that since beginning of August...
  15. 30? https://youtu.be/pbr8nCboZ-k?si=W6Oir1w2m9S7yw6c
  16. It's tough. I think people always tend to overestimate . A 30 mph wind from calm is pretty impressive.
  17. Daughter's doodle wants no part of it.
  18. Best gusts I've had all year. Finally!
  19. Dew point up to 63. Today you can feel it. Just as I can feel the yellow jackets So much for that theory. Got stuck right on top of a nest. Log in front and rocks behind. Couldn't back the trailer up fast enough without them being all over me. Had to carefully cut the log and rodeo mount the ATV to minimize the damage. Some days just suck...
  20. 1) That would defeat the purpose. 2) that doesn't look like much of a torch and August is over.
  21. I've been searching the charts and I still can't find the torch. When is it again? "Cooler/drier conditions settle in behind a cold front by the middle of next week"
  22. Scary stuff. I've had lots of butterflies and the monarchs have appeared the last week or so but the insect population is definitely down.
