GFS now has something for the 20th. It was way south yesterday.

22° a little colder than was forecast. Doesn't look like much of a warm up.

January was a torch. Nearly 2/3 of the days were in the '40s and '50s.

Strangely or not so strangely I only remember one real rain out (early '70s). Prospect Hill, Water absolutely pouring off the hill. NAM said it was going to be all snow.

I've done the same. Jericho is senior housing.

Friend of mine lived right next to Jericho Hill not far from me now in Marlboro. Used to do night skiing there.

Weirdly Ski Ward is still in the same family. I met the daughter who is running the place now over the summer.

That's awesome. Used to ski all those little places on my ski team when I was a kid. Practiced at Blue Hill and Klein innsbrook in Franklin. So many little places back then. We raced at Prospect Hill in Waltham, Nashoba, Wachusett, Mount Watonic, Boston Hill in Andover, so many more that I can't remember...

Went down the rabbit hole on Concord. January 2009 was 16° colder on average than 2023. That's unreal.

How much above normal? Can't be much. Been very cold here compared to recent years. S*** 2023 was 9° above normal. Concord had a couple torch days to start the month but since then it's been solidly below normal.

That's where I live. Right between the reservoirs. Still open in spots.
