  1. Wonder what type of measurement techniques they were using back then, if any? I mean 58" in Saratoga NY is pretty insane if they were just sticking a ruler in at the end and measuring depth. Almost seems impossible--especially for a spot that isnt getting much orographic help.
  2. Borderline furnace here at 39F. Feels balmy, even with clouds. Almost sure will be bare ground by Sunday as I dont think we get below freezing until tomorrow night. Grass is poking through melting snow..might be able to get that final leaf cleanup done a month after I thought I would
  3. I saw that radar and was curios what the ground truth was...I787 looks pretty snow covered in spots. ALY had the high end amount at less than 1". Mini over performer
  4. PF, JSpin and Alex--- The Bermuda Triangle of NNE. Everyone else is just cloudy/cold..or even sunny/cold..lol
  5. How is the temp sensor? I had an accurite a number of years ago and my biggest issue was you just couldn't have it in the sun, the temp would just be so far off. I had to put on the north side in the shade all the time for any type of accurate reading.
  6. I know people up in Londonderry/winhall still without power..4 or 5 days now, totally sucks. I was up at Bromley on Thursday and depth was about 30" near 2300ft..pretty impressive.
  7. Still pasty today looking out the backyard towards the Greens. Not often here do we get paste for a couple days hanging on without wind or temps blowing /melting.
  8. Someone was selling a cabin in Woodford on a local FB group here in SVT. Think it was like 38K-the foundation was failing with walls collapsing and leaning toward the lake, but hey, sacrifices need to be made for 200"
  9. 12.5" after 1.1" today on the board. That will probably due it I would think. Dont do great on a really blocked flow in my location.
  10. 3.5" overnight of more typical fluff, storm total of 11.4" at 7am. Some -SN right now, not expecting much more, maybe another 1". Saw about 30 utility trucks gearing up this morning. Lost power for a couple hours yesterday, flickering a little still this morning. 26.8" for NOV--looking on xmacis2- this month moves to #1 NOV spot for the SVT valley towns from Bennington up through Manchester/Dorset in Bennington County. That follows up with March '18 also being in the #1 spot. Quite a year.
  11. Looks like some 1" per hour stuff right now, coming down pretty good. Eyballing about 2" on the board which would be around 10" for the event.
  12. Man, what are you at for Nov...40"+?
  13. Flow definitely looks blocked down this way. Taconics in SVT and WMA getting lit up right now. Getting some upslope scraps with what moisture does make it over the Taconics into the valley and Greens.
  14. SVT ski area totals Stratton 19" at 9am Magic 14" at 830 Bromley- 12-14" Mt Snow-19"--although this report from Mt Snow of 19" of "powder" seems a little misleading. 11:39 AM TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2018 UPDATE at 11:30a.m.: The Bluebird Express, Challenger, Nitro Express, and Discovery Shuttle are all now open and ready to take you up to enjoy 19" of P-O-W-D-E-R!
  15. 7.9" final on the synoptic side here. Well see if any upslope materializes down this way. 23.3" for NOV-looking a COOP data, this would be #2 all time snowiest Nov for any valley towns from DDH up through RUT. Maybe not a great direct comparison, because my spot seems somewhat snowier than RUT, DDH, or the old COOPS around here. But its still a valley location on the west side of the greens. Rutland cocorahs sites only have around 8" for NOV.
  16. I'm sure there was more at your place on the east side with the upslope cooling/lift with east flow and I was downsloping and warming and the west slopes. But, yea would be interesting to know since its similar elevations.
  17. Sounds right, unreal NOV. 18" at Rochester VT on Cocorahs-north of Killington.
  18. 6.1" on .72" LE at 1100ft at new place at 8am. Definitely an elevation gradient here in the valley. About 1.5" at 700-750ft in the middle of town around 8am. Total paster out there, still some Mod snow falling, probably closed to 7" now after the board clear. Definitely 12"+ in the east slope towns with elevation and at the ski areas I would think.
  19. Woodford VT-- 10.5" at 10pm. Not sure if Mitch is around to corroborate that.
  20. Pounding at 1100ft on the western slopes of Greens even with some downsloping. Had .45" of rain before the flip about an hour ago. Roads are getting really bad at 1200ft+.
  21. Looks like an error in decimal point placement just going by the link mreaves posted.
  22. Just about 6" here. Temps warmed up to 34-35F, so good amount of accum lost to melting, at least here in the valley. Probably a solid 8-10" high up I would guess-above 2k.
  23. 3.9" at 7am. Sticking to everything at 31-32F. Just some -SN now, not expecting much more.
  24. I say that and of course DDH has just been reporting -SN and VIS about 1.5mi Not exactly 2" per hour.
