  1. Gene mentioned black flies, they actually came out last week here, was getting swarmed for a few days, thinking a few nights down to 25F and 30F this week knocked them back hopefully, haven't seen any since then. I'm sure it's only a matter of time till the next batch hatches...unfortunately.
  2. I think you can get the 60 min and 90 min dogfish head in a lot of spots in New England, they have it at my local beverage spot in town here, so must be pretty wide spread i would think. DogFish head 60 and 90 got me into the IPA game about 11-12 years ago when I lived in PA. Enjoying a Doppelganger from TH tonight.
  3. Pretty solid totals up north. 1.5" vaporized even under cloudy skies and 31.F max temp so far.
  4. Very blocked looking flow down this way at the moment...
  5. Just picked up a Davis VP2 with FARS for $50 locally from a guy. He actually said he bought it from Burke Mtn about 10 years ago which is kind of interesting. Of course I had to get Dendrite to PM me all the pertinent questions to ask as I had no clue....ha. Even if it needs a few parts updated, seems like a deal. .5" total here. Some super light stuff coming down now. 29.4F (if the VP2 is calibrated right )
  6. For sure...I dropped from 48F to 33F pretty quickly before this batch of precip even got in here.
  7. This would have been a nice airmass to have last event..ha
  8. 32F and coming down pretty hard at the moment. Looking at radar most likely short lived, but maybe squeeze out 1".
  9. I honestly can't believe you were doing it all these years anyway for so many, lot of extra work on your end---not hard for one person to enter in their own data. Thanks for keeping the thread going each year.
  10. If you are checking regularly in the summer and are never seeing grubs underneath then I don't know if it is grubs. With that kind of damage you would see hundreds if not thousands of grubs when they are coming to the surface. My in- laws had some damage past summer where the lawn would pull up and when I checked underneath I saw about 12-15 grubs in just 1sq ft of lawn.
  11. Yea, Woodford VT had 62" from that late FEB storm. Needed some elevation for the second part of that event, I would assume NVT higher spots did well, not sure about amounts.
  12. Looks like ALY may have tossed that 19.2" from Marlboro VT Cocorahs, they didn't include it in their PNS from 1145AM. VERMONT ...Bennington County... 13. Going to spray this once things dry out a bit..see how it goes...
  14. Yea, think that hit the Adirondacks a little harder. Near Whiteface Memorial day weekend:
  15. Wow, Mitch only had like 7.5" at 1pm. cant imagine he has more than 10". What town again? Being a little further east helped with that band it seems. Measured 11.1" depth in Winhall around 2k..prob little more with a clear.
  16. Prob end up with 2+" of QPF and 3" snow. Only a Trace in town, literally nothing sticking at all below 900' Couple months ago this thing would have been an absolute bomb for many.
  17. Nice, they are directly under that band pretty much--hammer time.
  18. Yea, like Ginx or someone mentioned, seems to happen in these event where best maybe be 5-10 miles west of the band? I'm sure it's crushing directly under the 30dbz echoes too.
  19. 15 miles west of the meat of the band and its ripping here. 33.4F so not super efficient accum. Im sure elevations above 1500' are stacking up.
  20. That's about what I found around 1900'-2200' here. Like 7.5". Certainly respectable, but there was definitely potential for more. Like you mentioned---overnight best radar returns were actually near Albany and there was a couple hours of dry slot/dry air and paltry rates into this AM and now best stuff is in SNE/SNH. Only 1.9" at my place which is little over 1100'.
  21. We'll shave off 5-8% for 85yr old weenie measuring... Still a respectable number...ha.
