  1. I think I saw something that it was going to be down for a while....like 2 weeks. Been out for a few days now.
  2. 4-5" of snow on the ground here with thunder, lightning, rain and hail..or sleet or graupel or something. Think that might be a first for me to have that combo platter.
  3. Nice call. 2.4" of wet paste here. Looked like almost some S+ on my cam in the 4-5am range.
  4. Similar to what I had today. Didn't see ALY mention much in the way of flakes today(outside of the system tonight), but had mood snow pretty much all day.
  5. Some really nice snow growth with this batch moving through..nice little refresher. Definitely higher ratio than the last event.
  6. My ratios were in the 10-1 range, so not great. These really low froude events actually aren't the perfect setup for here either, the Taconics in SVT to my west block a good amount of the moisture, hence you noticed the radar building up in ENY down through the Rensselaer Plateau and south of there.. Briefly had some really good growth, but it certainly wasn't perfect dendrites like it can be alot of times.
  7. I was thinking this was like a poor man's NOV 16 event too as it was unfolding. IIRC alot of those same areas did well too, but this seemed even more blocked as even Woodford didn't do that well in this, which is unusual. Think they got crushed in NOV 16. Weenie ARW model run from before the event ago nailed pretty much the exact spot in ENY that jacked. Although most mesos were pretty good in depicting the backed up blocked flow. Certainly interesting from a meteorology perspective.
  8. 6.5" final here. Saw a 12" report in ENY on ALY PNS. Definitely feels mid winter with wind and 21.7F
  9. Yep, the Taconics in ENY have been getting crushed for a while. They can do pretty well in these blocked flow setups.
  10. Lol....Im actually down to 29.3F in the lowlands. 3.9" as of a little bit ago.
  11. Temp slowly dropping now at 31.8F with some decent flakes/snow growth. Seems like a Woodford/Mitch jack..
  12. Models have seemed to ramp it up a bit down here over recent runs..be interesting to see how it plays out. ALY put out a WWA for most of Bennington County looks like.
  13. 12k beefed up a bit, which is good to see. The 3k is always hilarious because of its undying affection for orographic lift. I mean weenie maps printed out 16-20 for SVT at high elevations. Personally for me here 1-2" is a win IMBY.
  14. Where is that moisture even coming from? Definition of a NVT moose fart snower..lol.
  15. Makes sense, but with almost daily frost here, ground stays wet for a while, so have to wait until afternoon like Mreaves said. Not to mention the sun doesn't even hit my yard until after 9am this time of year because of the damn Green Mountains..lol.
  16. Yea, that's a tough task at Jay Peak. Most driveways around here are gravel too..a good cold winter and it may just be hard packed snow for months on the driveway.
  17. Nice look for you guys up north--maybe a few scraps overnight here..we'll see.
  18. Like you mentioned, we had the dynamics and rates to flip right over head as opposed to up there. Snow level looks like 900-950ft for any type of stickage. Town at 700' is just wet.
  19. First actual accum for the season..baby steps
  20. Looks like Mitch had some TSSN. Just chilly rain here.
  21. Wonder if that light purple has ever been used in New England? Outside of MWN and some peaks and lake effect belts. I guess you don't predict 48"+ very often..lol.
  22. The old merlot red..or whatever the heck shade that is..we enjoyed, until it was wiped clean before xmas
  23. Totally off topic, but after 15 years at a job I could do in my sleep and barely had to do anything, this new job I've been at for 6 weeks has really put a big dent in forum browsing time, should have waited till Spring Decent winds this morning, 43 mph on Davis..lost a few shingles too which sucks. Finally got anemometer mount for roof, try to get it up this weekend weather permitting. Like Dryslot said, think I like the new graphics..
