Because I'm not wx expert the thing i'll be watching now with models is where the NS kickers is. NAM speeds up our bowling ball and it gets ahead of the kicker. if we want south they need to stay at same longitude. But its the NAM.
No. What will happen is that all this rain and then freezing temps for DJF will create such a thick layer of ice and frozen ground that snow will instantly pile up every time it falls. Then the snow will insulate the ice from melting so both make a symbiotic relationship keeping each other alive.
Oh it will snow somewhere. Snow maps are pretty but climo is a witch. Nice trends and get the bowling ball a tad more south and a bit more confluence/congestion in the ATL and this would scream Nov early storm for all. But I'm not ready to take the plunge just yet. Most pools are drained this time of year anyways.
The one caveat is that the Caps won the Cup this year so this could be the year of DC.
Last time i looked at my total on the VP2 it was 48" but that was before the two most recent pourings. I know that some of the training rains this summer just missed me. But to see how some other places are over 60 and nearing 70 is quite the difference.
Everyone is posting yearly rain totals. I want to say this will prepare us for the DJF drought but tempers might flare and the country is on edge right now so that might be a little incendiary. Warm/wet, cold/dry
