We've had a cycle of massive heavy snow, to tiny grapule/sleet, bigger sleet, snow/sleet, back to massive flakes.
This has repeated every 10-15 mins for a few hours it seems.
Currently sleeping and 23, just shy of 8"
111 crossing waldens ridge is shutdown both ways
I've had a few neighbors leave early this morning... not sure if they are getting back today
Back to heavy snow, temps holding steady at 30.4
Light snow currently falling on the Waldens ridge, no issues sticking to surfaces. Temps and dewpoints are currently stable at 30.6 and 20, respectively
Man, reading this forum leading up to an event is peak happiness haha
I'm sorry if this is basic, but when it comes to snow ratios... does elevation matter in this scenario?
I'm at 2100', but I assume the snow formation (?) zone is well above me and ground temps control what precip type arrives versus any type of ratio
Had a 35 mph gust on my weather station but I don't think it can pick up instantaneous readings
Power has gone in an out for a few hours, lost it for about 1 hr earlier but currently back. Atleast 4000 out of power in the dunlap area
Maybe we can hold onto the little snow we have today, temps holding steady at 30 and doesn't appear to warm much.
Got to throw a snow ball with my little one, first time he's seen snow and he's hooked.
