  1. Snow mixing in for the last 15 minutes in Haymarket.
  2. Just took advantage of the nice afternoon to clean every last leaf off of the grass and gave the lawn a nice trim to a proper 2.0 inches. The snow should accumulate very nicely on that carpet. Now it is time to pour a beverage. Slainte, Mid-Atlantic weenie’s.
  3. Yup, heavier stuff looks like it has sunk a little bit south. Love Giorgio's down your way.
  4. 3.1 inches so far in Haymarket and it is still pouring. I think 5 inches is in range tonight.
  5. Solid storm coming through Haymarket right now. Definitely have had some 50+ mph gusts so far.
  6. I have been lurking in this forum for a few days in preparation for our annual trip to Edgartown. You all are obsessed with dew points!! It felt like a Northern VA October day today on MV, an absolute 10 of a day today at the beach. How are we looking on MV for the rest of the week?
  7. Still getting pounded. Looks like 1.3 inches so far.
  8. I think we have been in the sweet spot so far this evening. 3 separate storms so far, getting pounded right now with heavy rain and a lot of T&L
  9. Sleeting in Haymarket right now
  10. Great storm here in Western PWC. Measured 10.5 and we are still accumulating. .
  11. Ripping right now in Haymarket. A very pretty snow falling and definitely some high ratio stuff falling out of the sky right now. Just finished another shoveling of the driveway and sidewalks and we are just short of 8 inches, maybe we can squeeze double digits out of this.
  12. Clouds seem a little bit thicker and it is noticeably darker. This seems to be allowing the snow to stick a bit better to the roads and sidewalks now. We saw some pretty moderate snow for about 90 minutes between 10:30 and noon but it did not stick to roads at all. 29F -SN with 7.3 inches in Haymarket @2pm.
  13. Big fatties falling from the sky in Haymarket. Hopefully that heavy stuff slightly to the south works its way up the James Madison Highway.
  14. The plows have been working hard in the neighborhood. I believe the HOA is going to blow the winter budget on this event. Obviously they don't know that we are entering an epic pattern for the next few weeks.
  15. First plow came through about 15 minutes ago and we are covered back up. Transitioning to bigger flakes in the last 5 minutes
  16. Not too heavy, but steady, and it seems to be a much higher ratio snow then it was an hour ago. 28/28.
  17. Just had a nice, treacherous drive home from the local watering hole and there is no lull here in Haymarket. A little over 2 inches and coming down very nicely. 28/28
  18. Flake size much larger, steady light snow beginning to stick on surfaces other then patio and mulch. Temp dropped to 31.
  19. Flurries here at the Wegmans in Gainesville.
  20. 33/19 in Haymarket. Birds were singing loudly this morning.
