  1. Right now the forecast is mostly plain rain so white rain would be a plus in this case.
  2. I wouldn't be shocked if tomorrows storm busts a bit cold, temps getting colder tonight than expected, weak storm with out a strong warm push aloft. I'm not saying a snow event for the city but I could see at least some more white rain/mix than currently modeled.
  3. Unfortunately with the Euro and other models not backing this, I doubt this happens.
  4. Euro and GFS are very different for next Monday-Tuesday, I wouldn't really buy anything being shown at this point
  5. The Euro also showed a giant icestorm for NYC like 72 hours before this past storm lol. It can't be trusted in the same way it used to be.
  6. Yea its been clear since Friday this was definitely an interior storm. It sounds like there has definitely been high impact North and West of I287.
  7. Yea this is not an ice threat for the City/LI. Places near the tappan zee which have been raining might have real concerns about ending as ice
  8. People were right who said the airmass just wasn't cold enough. The temp barely changed from the start of the storm for Northern NYC/Westchester/Northern NJ if the airmass had been colder this would've been a snow to ice storm for a wide part of the region
  9. wow still only 38 in the North Bronx, very sharp front right at the coast
  10. Models did terrible with surface temps for the interior as expected. The coast didn't even torch quite as much as modeled although youi can see the sharp coastal front with mid to upper 40s Queens/Brooklyn/LI
  11. Surface temps haven't really budged up anywhere, it's too bad the storm didn't start out colder
  12. Rain/Snow/Sleet Mix surprised to see frozen precip this long even though barely any of it accumulated
  13. Definitely won't, theres some misinformation going on.
  14. Yea the surface above freezing anywhere near the metro area so would expect the change to rain to be pretty quick
  15. It will change to rain unfortunately but agree would like to keep the pings as long as possible
  16. Now actually looking like a snowstorm out there, too bad it will change to rain likely within the hour in fact I think I'm already hearing pingling
  17. Some models show rain/mixing all the way to Albany tomorrow
  18. Heavy Snow Bronx/Westchester border, sticking a bit more now
  19. It seems to depend where, the models seemed to be very accurate for the coast/metro area but were too warm further inland. Not shocked.
  20. North Shote of LI always seems to do better than the city in these scenarios
