  1. It looks like the line in VA is growing SW and headed generally towards the DC area. I wonder if that makes it across the area. I'm on a mini heater today. I'll take all I can get.
  2. Second round of storms incoming. I'm on a heater today. The sky has been beautiful for the past couple of hours. It reminds me of tropical remnants. I hope the front stays where it is. Sorry western fokes. I've watched you get snow for years while I get 33 degree rain.
  3. Just had another downpour that brings my yard up to almost an inch for the day. I see a tropical looking sky with some blue showing up to my SE. Hopefully it gets things unstable for later.
  4. Best rain of the summer in my yard. That first batch dropped 0.85". I wouldn't be surprised to see more later today. Radar to the south is becoming more active.
  5. Dumping rain. Looks like central MD is lighting up like a Christmas tree.
  6. It's getting ominous looking to my south. It looks like this beast developing to my south is growing NW and to the SE. I hope this gets as many people in the metro as possible with some real water.
  7. I agree. My luck MIGHT be changing. Big blob developing right in my patch to my south. I'm starting to hear distant thunder.
  8. Shocker. Same places that have had rain get tons more. My garden hasn't been watered by rain since mid May. It's incredible how localized the extremes are. Mother nature never fails to humble me.
  9. Sure looks like it. The moisture doesn't seem to make it past the Potomac. Southern VA has had a ton of rain this season. No drought do there.
  10. And.... poof. Looks like a dry day ahead.
  11. That's an interesting storm. I looks like it's getting stronger and creeping towards Fort Washington. I can see the storm to my SW. It has beautiful structure.
  12. I was actually going to message you that a storm was coming lol
  13. True. You know we'll get a tropical remnant but it will miss us to the south and hit the same places south of us that have been initiated all summer lol
  14. Oh look. The same places in VA are getting more rain today than my area has had since May. Astonishing how rain dries up as it approaches the area for the since May. My gut says we stay dry until September at the earliest.
  15. Jan 25th, 2000 type storm lol. I was shocked that night when I looked at radar. It wasn't supposed to hit us. I see a monster wall of white racing NW into the metro area. Cloudy and a tolerable 82 degrees
  16. I was kinda surprised when I looked at radar. Looks better than when I had a flood watch last week lol
  17. Hrrr gives the area a whopping 0.02" of rain this evening. Crazy how it just can't rain this summer. My gut says it's dry until September.
  18. Nice and damp out there. Nature seems less stressed. I received .50 yesterday and .20 on Tuesday. Thankfully the extreme heat is over for now. Probably won't be back until October.
  19. I'm getting nailed pretty good with heavy beneficial rain. The lightning and thunder has been pretty fun too. Best storm of the season here. It's just a steady pouring rain woohooo!
  20. And it falls apart lol. I'm guessing it's September before we get any real rain in the area.
  21. That line looks like the best chance for widespread rain that I've seen in months. Let's go, line for all!
  22. That stuff in WV is looking more organized and headed generally towards the metro area from the SW. Maybe that's our urban flooder.
  23. Earlier it had 0 storms. Hrrr seems to be on fire this season. It's Dr no and has been right a lot lol
  24. Yeah. I based my comment on the HRRR and frustration lol Not as bad here this morning. I received about 0.20" from a frisky little thunderstorm last evening. I had some fun lightning strikes and gusty wind. My garden looks happier this morning.
  25. Still seems odd since most guidance gives us no rain. I guess they hug the NAM 3K
