Blue sky here and purely tropical. Temperature is 95 and the dewpoint is 78. If that isn't enough for storms I don’t know what is.

It's amazing how dry it is, yet it's tropical rainforest humid. Still can't buy a drop of rain with DP near 80 lol
-
Not a single drop. Looks like nothing today either. Crazy how half the state is flooded while the DC area goes into serious drought.
-
Of course lol
-
Congrats north of DC. Even looks like some training along 70 possible.

This has been an extremely boring stretch of weather since the week of winter in January. I don't think I've even seen lightning this season lol
-
Yup. GFS say the drought continues.
-
I also noticed that wet trend. I own a business that washes commercial and residential buildings. We use a lot of water. Water restrictions could be bad for business. I'm also a gardener and someone who just loves nature. I hate to see plants and animals being stressed.
-
We need this. Let's go!

Long range GFS looks interesting. GFS gives 95 and east some decent rain this weekend. It has a storm coming from the south and dumping big rain in about a week. At least there's chances.
-
This thread is for non severe weather. Here we focus on our chances for showers and thunderstorm. It's not about severe. It's about potential rain totals. Wind, hail, tornadoes talk stays in the severe weather thread. It's not super serious. Banter and venting frustrations over being screwed over is allowed here.

.45" here. That will be gone as fast as snow in March. We drought on. On to the next miss this weekend. After this weekend it looks brutally dry.
-
Classic stormy summer night vibe out there. It's hot, humid, lighting flashes in the sky, crickets, lightning bugs, ect. Radar is lit up like it's Christmas tree.

I'm down east of DC. It's clear of the mountains and looking juicy. I hope we all score a good soaker.
-
Wooo.. it does look interesting. That boundary is lighting up like this joint I'm about to smoke lol

Looks like packman of drought relief on radar. Humidity seems to be rising and it's still hot as hell.
-
I feel pretty positive too. That radar in WV is looking juicy. I'd love a stormy night with lightning lighting up the house and heavy rain pounding on the roof.

I'm sticking to winter weenie rule. We don't pay attention to the euro this close in range to a storm unless it shows what we want.

Looks like 2-3" of rain possible in the DC area.

I think it will be the opposite of what all of the forecast call for. It's always that way. Mother nature doesn't care about our indices. I'm going for normal temps and some decent hits here east of DC. NW areas get frozen mud and pitty flurries.
-
Big drop in DP over the past 30 minutes. That NW wind just blew in a nicer airmass. I wish we could keep it and get some rain.
-
It doesn't look like many people will be getting lucky today. Radar is crickets.
-
Cloudy and hot AF. It's weird It's this hot but totally overcast. Hopefully we get some rain from these clouds.
