*Meet up* I'll be at Kasoag Lake tavern and grill on Friday January 5th at the base of the Tug Hill. I'm going to rent a snowmobile and head up onto the Tug Hill. The forecast from Jay, at Kasoag Lake is for an intense lake effect snow band that will drop feet of snow on the region.

I've been lurking around those fourms lately. Ours is by far the best. We have so many colorful personality here. The humor in here is super underrated and our top poster are world class mets imo.

Mom- Oh look! The sun is coming out! Hopefully it warms up so the grand children can play outside this afternoon. Me- Holding my breath, face turning red. Mom- Hopefully the worst of winter is over. Dad, cousins- Yeah. Snow sucks. Mom- Dailylurker, can you open that window. It's getting hot in here. Me- F-you and the grandkids! F all of you! Kicks ham across the room, slams door, speeds away. Currently torching and annoying.

And tracking if we can hit 80 in Dec lol. I honestly think this is just the beginning of something really interesting happening. Blocks are fun. They do fun stuff without a lot of lead time. I have a feeling this is going to evolve into a coastal storm.

If the gfs is correct we could be having snow and ice while Kansas City is pushing 80. Blocking does such cool stuff. I hope it's real!

The gfs looks better today. There's some decent cold shots. The euro on the other hand lol. Are those +50 degree departures in the Midwest for the next 10 days at least? What an impressive heatwave. Someone at our latitude is definitely going to see 70's if not 80's lol. F-it. I'm moving on and planning some extended hikes in the local mountains.

I'm not canceling winter but I'm coming to terms that it's definitely over for the next couple of weeks, at least. Losing weeks of prime climo is definitely a bummer.

Is this year 3 of drought? Before this dry period it was wet for a few years but that didn't help snow totals lol
