Right, but just me...I'd rather see a 20" event melt quickly, than get porked in every direction with decent retention.....but I understand your POV and I'm probably in the minority.

Its an east wind...I have the ocean in reasonably close proximity to my east, and you do not. If this were December, I would be in the 40's by now.

I want to hang onto that 925 to 850 cold layer for as long as possible bc my low level have been gone since 8. Its all that is preventing plane rain for me.

Yea, wasn't very high on my list of concerns. I had a forecaster on social media Fri PM tell me to be more worried about rain than a whiff...good forecaster, too. I was incredulous...circled back around to the thread and crickets.

I think its a no-brainer anywhere south of us because Jan 7 was NBD.

I'm just over 30"....which is worse than last year if it doesn't snow in a meaningful manner again, which is possible.

Eh...as far as snow retention, yes.....but total snowfall and storm activity? I'd take last year considering the latter two. Jan 7, 2024 was an incredible experience that I would part ways with every storm I have had this season to witness again.
