Well. 21/16, wet bulb of 19…. The sleet/Zr mix continues and I can officially say I have a glaze. Plants coated and the concrete has become a skating rink.

Short range is still really dry until that main band moves through tomorrow. NAM, RAP, and even HRRR are generally under .50 until then.

I don't think we see more than freezing drizzle overnight at this point. Moisture goes poof as it hits the Smokies.

I didn't think I had anything falling, but I saw your post, so I went out to check. Same stuff is falling here. It's either diamond dust or diamond mist. Hard to say, but mist feels wrong at this temp.

I cant remember a "winter storm" where the first precip fell at 3 pm and at 10 pm there was less than .10 of anything. Weird.

I think it really is diamond dust. All the road surfaces are completely white now, from the "snowfall", not from sleet accumulation and not like an ice glaze.
