That would be great if there was someone.
 

I had a friend on another weather forum who lived near the park several years ago. He used to to take measurements himself and 90% of the time they were under measured.  Often by 20-30% similar to the storm we just had.

Same that's why i recorded 2.9 here because that's exactly what it was. I'd love to say 3" and call it a day. Almost everyone at my latitude broke 3" or more except probably New London county. I have a nice ruler that's divided in 1/10ths of inch for measuring snow. If I'm going to be making all these snowfall maps and determining which reports are valid and which ones are not, i should be holding myself to a high standard.

What in the world is that 9.7" in Monmouth county? I didn't see anything over 9" anywhere in cocorahs coop or the PNS by PHI.

Maybe they left their grass really high? I'm only half kidding. Im sure that there aren't a lot of us with a snow ruler using a snowboard. I also get the sense that there's a fair amount of snow envy out there so I wouldn't be surprised if some people report late after seeing what's in their area and then jack potting themselves. I don't envy you trying to weed out the bullshit measurements but it's appreciated.

Yeah, it's a pain and it's always hard to know for sure but some are pretty obvious. I'm just about done, nearly 1k reports across all 3 maps, about 6 hours deep so far. I should have them up within the hour.

Snowfall totals from the Dec 12th event are done and up on the site along with all the events so far for the 25-26 season. I changed the ranges to 0-1/1-3/3-6/6-9 to be more for fitting for the variety and location of reports. Reports are from here, cocorahs, coop and official climo sites. Thanks to everyone who sent a report to me. I always include the climo sites, i saw the controversy with the NYC ob. It seems ISP is suspiciously low as well as all the reports in every direction are in the 6-8" range.
