LVblizzard
Big CME on the way. Hearing a G3 solar storm is likely and G4 is possible. Any possible aurora would be Monday night.

ChescoWx
We will end August as one of our driest last full months of summer in our climate history. We will also finish with our 4th below normal temperature month across the first 8 months of 2025. Our beautiful weather will continue through the holiday weekend and well into the new work week. We may finally see some beneficial rains by Thursday night into Friday. Thursday looks to be the warmest day of the week with some spots possibly exceeding 80 degrees. We will get cooler again by next weekend.

ChescoWx
Despite a well below normal August in temperatures overall summer (June thru August) finished as our warmest summer since 2010. But still well below our warmest summer way back in 1943. Overall there has been clearly almost no warming at all across our summers since 1893. A very flat trend line is clear to see! The below analysis is across 31 NWS/FAA/DEOS/COOP and trained spotter data since 1893.
ChescoWx
If you thought this August was chilly across the Philly burbs of Chester County PA it indeed was. We finished with the 6th chilliest August in 133 years of data back to 1893.

ChescoWx
Our beautiful start to September continues with some of our lower valley location recording their 8th straight morning with low temperatures in the 40's! Remarkable for the end of August and the beginning of September. We should see somewhat warmer temperatures this week getting us to slightly above normal high temperatures by Thursday and Friday. Another cold front crosses the area by the end of the week and next week looks like a return to well below normal temperatures again. Our best rain chance in a few weeks looks possible by Thursday night into Friday morning with the aforementioned cold front. We will take whatever we can get at this point. ChescoWx
At an overall average temperature of 73.0 degrees the summer of 2025 finished as the 54th warmest summer across 133 years of records in the Philly burbs of Chester County PA. The top 20 warmest summers are listed below.
ChescoWx
We should see our 1st above normal temperature day in 17 days today for many areas. A couple of cold fronts the first weak this evening and the next one on Saturday is stronger. Each of these may bring some much-needed rain. In fact, the National Weather Service has much of Chester County with between 0.75" to 1.00" of much needed rain by Sunday morning. Behind that front we turn much chillier again by Sunday night with a return to below normal temperatures with lows in the 40's and highs in the low 70's next week. LVblizzard
Not a particularly strong storm in Allentown right now but it’s been pouring for the last half hour. Looks like we still have a little while to go too. Really nice to see this rain as we’ve been pretty dry lately. Hopefully it delays or denies us another drought.
