0Z GFS: Based on maps through hour 93, my guess is that this will unfortunately look more like the 12Z than the 18Z. We’ll see. I hope my guess is wrong.

Edit: Indeed, I don’t think the 0Z GFS will be liked.

It's focusing more on the 2nd wave which I like one a bigger storm develops but it's a mixture for most

In all Honesty a 4-5" Snow / 1/2" ICE / 1" Sleet bag would be pretty solid. Sort of painful that Statesville would be at like 8" but Mooresville would be 4" but Hey CLT would be zero lmao

That would likely be the biggest winter storm in that area in La Niña in Feb since 1989.

0z UK with a Major Winter Storm!

UK is slightly warmer than 12Z but has a stronger system. More of a mixed bag for NC. Heavy snow VA. 

 

Edit- its quite a bit warmer than 12Z in the mid and upper levels in NC.
