It’s rare to get snow at these temps and ratios. Give me a pure Miller A with the low forming in the Gulf and going up the coast next time lol

Thankful I got to experience the December 25th 2010 storm. Low formed in the gulf and went right up the coast. That’s how we get 12+ inches around here. I always keep in mind that norfolks biggest recorded storm was 18.5 inches in 1892. Reality check for when we see these crazy clown maps.

I can remember when we got 3 or 4 strong coastal lows a winter. OF course they were usually rain but a few big snows mixed in. The double storms of Jan 1966 i will never forget. Now i look at any snow i get as the last i will ever see. As much as i wanted those 2ft models to verify i have to admit im not upset at missing out on all the snow removal, LOL

Snow on snow event would be a dream. 1993 storm had schools closed for 2 weeks here. Kids had to in on Saturdays for the rest of the year to make up the missed days.

ldub23
On radar the snow line appears to be making a last gasp north movement again. Future radar has the southside in snow till 530am
Stormpc
Yes this is. It's a good storm with several more inches from your area and the South side. We always knew this was going to be a unique situation.

Stormpc
Just came in from outside and have roughly 10 inches. Crazy. Some places well over a foot. Others four inches. Just because of the wind here. But it's been ripping and we're going to get at least four or five more inches. So it's going to be really hard to pinpoint the exact snowfall

It’s been a surprise to see the storm unfold like this. We are so use to busting. But we had everything we needed. The only hold back was the dry air. Once that was pushed out it was game on. If this keeps up a few more hours. 4-5 inches could be the total here.
