AT DANVILLE VIRGINIA...TUESDAYS HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 34 DEGREES SET A

RECORD FOR THE LOWEST MAXIMUM FOR TODAYS DATE. THE PRIOR RECORD WAS

37 DEGREES IN 1997.

AT BLACKSBURG VIRGINIA...TUESDAYS HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 22 DEGREES SET

A RECORD FOR THE LOWEST MAXIMUM FOR TODAYS DATE. THE PRIOR RECORD

WAS 26 DEGREES IN 1997.

AT BLUEFIELD WEST VIRGINIA...TUESDAYS HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 16 DEGREES

SET A RECORD FOR THE LOWEST MAXIMUM FOR TODAYS DATE. THE PRIOR

RECORD WAS 17 DEGREES IN 1977.

AT ROANOKE VIRGINIA ON TUESDAY...THE HIGH OF 29 DEGREES WAS ONE

has something changed with the location of the sensor? lyh seems to run alot colder over the past few years

Its always radiated well since I've lived here. But, its just outside of town and up a little in elevation compared to the actual city. My sense is shoved in a bush in the shade and hit 15.

I wondered that before---last winter EVERY snow event was very dry compared to the entire area. Jan 30th had about an inch everywhere from ROA to BCB to DAN to RIC and we had .64 with 11.4 measured officially.

it just seems they have set so many record lows and record lo hi's recently
