Anomalous Propagation (AP) (Read more here: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/jetstream/doppler/ap_max.htm) is a common phenomenon that occurs in certain atmospheric conditions. For completely unfiltered Doppler radar data, go here: http://www.weather.gov/radar_tab.php and you'll see just how common ground clutter and AP shows up in radar imagery. I admire intellicasts clutter removal even if it makes mistakes at least they are obvious. Rings are due to range folding, when there is heavy precip well outside the radars range, it occasionally gets fooled into thinking a return from an old pulse was from the current pulse and misplaces the echos too close to the site. Well this guy and I are going at it. I live just north (200 yards) of a location in Tampa that was pretty messed up by a tornado on 3/31. That's besides the point I guess. While looking for vids of the damage or Tornado I came across this champ claiming the lord of the rings caused the Tornado's. While reading the comments and listening to bone head speak. I realized two things. 1. I really wanted to slash my wrist as he was telling everyone he called the tornado. 2. America is really stupid (Just look at those comments) Well I left a pro weather comment. Once again just calling the guy a moron and hoping beyond hope he cannot pro-create. He responded pretty quickly with nonsense. I expected that, I'm not going to get into a war with the guy, 'cause in the end. I cannot change his thinking, Tonight he pledged Texas was next for crazy weather, just because Fort Worth was picking up ground clutter in Clean Air Mode....
