  1. I've never had any issues with my Mass plates fwiw. Granted I didn't go up there after the lockdowns and the bulk of my interactions are grinning in powder or in anticipation of powder.
  2. We hedged and got a pass to the Beast. First time actually, usually just pay $40/pop for the 4 hour ticket. If we can go north, then great.
  3. Win Smith (sugarbush) sent an email yesterday that they definitely intend to stick to the snowmaking plan starting Nov 1. He also mentioned that needing reservations was a possibility, and that they wouldn't be loading chairs to capacity.
  4. Yeah I did the same. Lange XT 130s and AT bindings without tech fittings are what I've been using. But since there's at least a chance this could be our primary mode of skiing this year I invested in Scarpa Maestrales and Salomon Shifts. The Maestrales are pretty darn stiff so they should perform well going down. Also quite light. Can't wait to test em out.
  5. FWIW I just bought my wife a splitboard in the the last few weeks and the inventory for women's splitboard bindings (especially) is pretty low right now. I think a lot of folks are thinking what J Spin is thinking.
  6. Maple Foods is my main lunch spot these days. Great smorgasboard esp in normal times. Glad you got a good day in.
  7. Hopefully it'll be more exciting than the WaPo's most recent bombshell before the bombshell about a creepy football announcer
  8. Storm should be crossing it pretty soon. Let's get a waterspout.
  9. It's been pretty active in the valley of late. This one bears watching.
  10. zomg look at all that plant life and murkiness
  11. Continuous lightning. Heavy duty
  12. Vanished Valley in Ludlow has a pretty nice outdoor setup these days. And good beer.
  13. Good news out of Maine has not been due to their strict adherence to social distancing I can tell you that. Nowhere has been more packed with fewer masks than Maine bars aka restaurants ( ) the last month plus. Latitude FTW
  14. They've been terrible down here this year. Much worse than last year actually. Hoards of em.
  15. If you're proceeding from Treehouse north and west eventually to 91 you might consider hitting up Brick and Feather in Turners Falls. Or going north to Stone Cow if it's a weekend afternoon evening for barbeque and beers.
  16. Not sure any largemouth in history has hit the 30" mark. Maybe a long skinny carp?
  17. Have fam out there... every time I visit in the summer it seems like we're getting some kind of nice dryish canadian airmass coming over the lake with a couple diurnally driven high based thunderstorms. Pleasant. And on the high end they're capable of a decent tor here and there, including an F4 on the same day as the Wheatland tornado 5/31/85. Then there's the always the chance of 6-8' in the winter in a week.
  18. 63MPH gust at DFW. First notable mesoscale system in seemingly weeks for the metroplex
  19. Quabbin allowing for boats as of tomorrow, but NOT renting boats. Which sucks for those of us without a boat.
  20. That's a helluva fish
