    Precip just started hot and heavy right away, but it is a graupel of sorts. Definitely not sleet, but very fine snowfall that is accumulating immediately

    I am out at Deep Creek through Wednesday. Excited to see some flakes fall for the next few days. Hoping to get 6"+ by the time I head back to Baltimore. It's pretty cold out currently. Barely over 32 and breezy. I expect temps to crash when the precip rolls in

    Very light snow at Deep Creek. Looks like we are in a dry slot. Great returns about 15 miles west but moving due north.... Just my luck!

    Pixie Dust Here. Looks like all the heavy returns are staying to our west all day. We need some bands to move through quickly here

    Things have really slowed down in the past 20 minutes at Wisp. Little pixie dust right now. Hoping things are just gathering up for a 2nd push here.

    Where are you around Deep Creek? I just measured 4.5" on a table outside my house at the top of Wisp. Definitely feels like we haven't had any of the fatties some other places are reporting but it's piling up as quickly as it can

    Can anyone tell me what the Euro shows in remaining QPF for Deep Creek?

    Just went for a walk outside in McHenry. Best snow of the day so far. Probably 2.5" on the driveway so far. Looking for this thing to really get cranking for the next few hours. Already glad I made the drive

    Rates are picking up here in McHenry. Flake size is growing a bit as well. I'd guess we are pushing 1" and all surfaces are covered but with the blowing snow it's going to be very hard to measure

    Windy -SN at the top of Wisp. Maybe just a trace of accumulation so far but blowing snow everywhere and it feels like it's getting ready to get to ripping here soon

    Just finished the 3 hour drive out here and it is COLD up at the top of wisp at about 3,000ft. Hoping to avoid any mixing tomorrow and enjoy the show!

    Just heard my fiancee singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" in the kitchen and I said "you know, we could go up to deep creek and you could see a real winter wonderland tomorrow?". 15 minutes later it looks like we are going to hop in the car after dinner and head out to my future in-laws' place. Never thought I'd be able to convince her to travel for snow

    I’m in Canton so I guess we will be able to compare how the city and Dundalk/middle river peform

    We need more of a thump to hit us while it's still frigid up top and at the surface so that we can get a few fresh inches for the slopes saturday morning before it flips. Hopefully by the time it flips it will be early afternoon and time to head inside for some relaxing and a few libations, and then we can head back out Sunday morning to a little more fresh powder!

    Do you have a rough estimate of how much of that falls as snow vs other mixed/icy precip?

    Going to be in Deep Creek this weekend. Are they still in the game on this one, or is it looking weak out there as well? What would need to change to give a mostly snow event? Been an awful year for the ski resorts.
