A solid 8 inches total here in Poughkeepsie where I Iive and I am totally satisfied.

Agreed. Snowing at a good clip with more to come. I will be happy with 6-7 inch total including yesterday.

Snow getting more moderate here. May be some hope for a few more inches. Even if amounts didn't verify as high here, I still love that we enough to whiten things.

Snow won't be much around these parts, but I am glad we have winter precip to speak of to kick off this season. Hopefully lots more winter storms to come the next 4 months.

It sure looks wintry here in the Mid Hudson Valley and above. The coastal plain is missing out, but they have had their share of snow bonanzas over the past many years while we up here so often got the shafts.

It did end quick, but it sure performed while it could.

Stay safe everyone especially with the ice tomorrow on the ground and extreme cold thereafter. Back end will be moving through giving me a total of 6 inches. We never tainted here with rain.

Solid snowfall here in the Poughkeepsie area. Unfortunately my wife got hit from behind while coming home, creating 4-5 k damage. Thankfully she is ok.. As much as I love snow, I hate the risks of injury and damage it creates

Well I hope you are right. Based on warning trends, I was thinking 60% ice, 40% snow, which is why I said more ice storm than snow storm.. We shall see.

Hope you are right. I don't want ZR. This is looking more like an ice storm than snowstorm for the HV South of Kingston. Sucks.
