My last post was 26 minutes ago, and it's rained an inch since then. Woohoo, just like in the old days, it can still rain hard around these parts. Current temp is 73F.

Heavy rain just started! Breezy with some thunder and lightning now too. Really enjoying it after all the teases, plus it's cooled off nicely.

Been trimming bushes for the last 2 hours, came back and looked at the radar and wow! Looks like it might rain Sky is plenty dark, but not one rumble of thunder. Lightning detector shows zip. Rain will be nice along with cooler temps.

Had it here too, I was mowing and beat a hasty retreat to the tent. Some heavy rain, lightning and thunder, not severe per se. Up to a quarter inch of rain already though, woohoo!

The 3 hour shower this evening has given us about 0.22" here, not a lot but the first real rain this week, and very enjoyable. Eta - good luck!

Haven't gotten a lot of rain here, but it's evolved into a steady light rain for the last couple of hours with a couple of rounds of lightning and thunder, the current one off to the west. Actually raining a little better now. A nice Friday night for sitting on the porch, for sure!

Same, wetted the driveway but not under the trees. Looked like this passing through, lol. At least it cooled things off!

Severe tstorm warning here, getting breezy, lots of thunder and lightning, including to the north of here. 3 times already this week storms have fizzled just to the west of here, and this one is trying to. Note the hole developing, lol. (Just north of the Delaware border).

Hadn't checked the radar but started hearing thunder, and lookie there! The rate things have been going I'll be happy to get a nice shower out of it!

Got clipped by that little one, had a few drops, meanwhile I could hear a nice steady rain falling in the woods about 300 ft. away.

Still ongoing here, got about 0.32" of rain so far, a lot of lightning, and some pretty strong winds at the beginning with some branch breaking and transformer blowing sounds. Got a pic of some lightning just for fun:

The approach of this storm feels like the real deal....getting pretty windy here.

It keeps breaking up as it goes through Delaware. Frustrating!

The only weather I remember from when I was 8 is a 12 inch noreaster and we couldn't find our sleds the next morning, lol. Happy Birthday! Eta - we did find them after about 5 minutes of kicking around in the snow....

Yeah I'm getting ready to mow here, I figure the rain last night will help it, then 2 days of some rain followed by another heat blast, leaves today as the day. Much better today, but still pretty sweatable when you get busy.

Total here was 1.25". Today is awesome compared with the last few days. Refreshing!
