  1. Should we be paying a little attention to Thursday am? Yeah, yeah...NAM at range and all the usually caveats.
  2. Birds is gonna be chasing his trash cans
  3. A few patches of snow survived but overall it’s green again. Hit a high of 44F overnight, now down to 34F. 1.16” total so far. Maybe starting to see an occasional flake mix in.
  4. 32F at 10pm, just as the WWA expires. Perfect call by Mt Holly.
  5. Wonder where Wentz is on his trip to Erie? TWC had an emergency manager from PA on saying not to travel in the state if you don’t have to.
  6. Up to 27F now. Still no pinger, but sounds like they’re on my doorstep
  7. I know we’re warming aloft but my temp hasn’t budged all afternoon, still sitting at 25F.
  8. Looks like Kamu should see flakes soon.
  9. I hope this is Reagor’s last game as an Eagle. It’s like he’s never seen a punt before. Thanks, Howie!
  10. Looks like a beautiful day for football in Tampa. I thought there was supposed to be flying cows preventing Brady from throwing the ball. P.S. Blow up the Flyers and Comcast please sell the team.
  11. I can’t argue with DT’s map for my yard. Setting the bar at 2”, but realize the warm air moves in faster than expected in these set ups.
  12. 25F/DP 16F Can feel the change in air mass already. The cold doesn’t have the same bite to it that it had yesterday or this morning.
  13. Yeah, no stickage. Just hoping to see flakes in the air.
  14. The only interest I have locally at this point is if we can get some wrap around snow shower tomorrow am. They rarely work out, but the models have been hinting at it.
  15. There is some thought that Pinatubo contributed to a cooler summer in 1992. But yes, this eruptions isn’t close to Pinatubo levels.
  16. Sometimes when I think about all the things that have to go right, I’m amazed it ever snows here at all. But even though we’re on the sidelines for snow with this event, the next 36-48 hours are still going to be pretty wild.
  17. I was out running some errands this evening and saw a hazy moon through the high clouds…a “snow moon”, I thought. If this were 100 years ago, a time before wx models and satellites, I’d be convinced a snow storm was on the way given the temps.
  18. Admittedly I know nothing about the relationship between eruptions and our local climate but I remember someone saying that tropical eruptions could have negative impacts on our winters. For instance, there’s some thought that the Pinatubo eruption in 1991 was a factor in our crap winters of the early 90’s. We benefit more from eruptions at higher latitudes, such as Alaska or Iceland. Again, not saying any of this if fact. Just passing along what I read. Hopefully someone with knowledge on the subject can chime in.
  19. I saw that…so cool! And from an underwater volcano no less. The sat pics were incredible. Couldn’t help but wonder if there were any ships in the area at the time.
