  1. Good thing March rocks! Picked up 1.1” overnight, 42F.
  2. And to be clear, I'm not looking for a HECS (but I'll gladly take one). Give me a 1"-3" or a 2"-4" type deal and I'm happy -- anything to whiten the ground and cover the grass.
  3. Funny you say this Ralph--I was thinking the other day that it seems the only way we've gotten snow around here in recent years is a big warm up that ends with a line of severe wx (the Wiggum rule). But yeah, despite the relative mild Jan, no huge warm up seems to be in store.
  4. T -2 days before epic 1996 redux pattern gets under way. -Snow blower gassed up -Fridge stocked with milk and eggs -No bread, but freezer stocked with vodka -Netflix binge list complete Cloudy, 38F.
  5. Dried up. Can't even score a decent period of virga.
  6. I'm not throwing in the towel as long as a Philly DJ is in our corner...viva la 1996! 36F, cloudy
  7. Yeah, I'm riding the "nothing good was supposed to happen until after 1/15" train for now. Even then, it may be a brief window. Who knows. I do have a hunch if anything good does happen, it won't be a long track event, something will pop in the 72-96hr timeframe. All that said, I do remember where I left the towel last year in case I need to dig it out.
  8. Actually had a few flurries about an hour ago. They said any snow before the 20th is bonus snow. Epic 1996 redux pattern ftw!!
  9. I get so jealous seeing seniors walking around during a heat wave wearing sweaters while I'm walking around panting like a mutt.
  10. Reading the MA forum this morning, sounds like our window may be closing. If we don't score a HECS on Jan 29th between 1-5pm, it's over.
  11. The "good" pattern was always supposed to occur after the 15th. I'll give it until next weekend to see how things are shaping up. If we're still waiting another 10-15 days for the epic 1996 redux pattern or, not the next storm or the next storm, but the storm after the next storm, I'll go full out Ji!
  12. I find it's best to stick with the models that show a whiff or rain...they tend to be correct more often than not
  13. 34F with big fatties coming straight down, no wind. Street already coated.
  14. Haha...yeah! I should know better. I really don't mean to be pessimistic, most are targeting mid to late Jan before we see improvements. It just seems we've been here these last few winters -- chasing epic patterns in the LR that fail to materialize. Hopefully the "were due index" pays off this year.
  15. Pick up .60" so far. Patiently waiting for the greatest winter since 1996/snowmageddon/last ice age to get under way, 44F.
  16. Yep...34F and rain. Happy New Year everyone!!
  17. Who knows how any of this will play out and what effect it will have on the sensible weather in our backyards. All I know is the last couple of winters, I was already looking for the towel in early Jan. Give me a month of winter from Jan 15 to Feb 15 and I'll be a happy weenie.
  18. Heard the winds kick up before sunrise but couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed and look. A dusting here too, 34F.
  19. Getting some light snow here. That plus the small mound (about the size of a football) at the base of the driveway = white Christmas in my book.
  20. 62F at midnight, now down to 37F. 2.02" so far. Didn't have cable or interwebs this morning. Merry Christmas, everyone!
